I get moderately annoyed, not really angry. I get angry if people interrupt me. Interestingly enough, when I'm rambling is the only time they don't tell me to shut up.
Maybe you just talk too much.Booze Zombie said:Simple question, but one I've not seen asked before.
Do you get angry when told to "shut up"?
I'll be honest, I get downright enraged when told to shut up.
Because some other person's gibberish is so much more relevant than mine?
Don't make me laugh so hard my soul could almost feel it.
...and on day where I just fucking hate everything. The Maddest March Hare said:Yes, yes I do. I can be quite indignant if I'm told to shut up so someone else can speak utter crap that I was halfway through explaining better than they did. Especially if I'm trying to argue a point against them, or against what they're saying and I have indisputable evidence, but I'm told to shut up before I get to it and they then continue talking about the stuff I was disputing.
I stayed in the dining room, reading from my notepad for the next ten minutes while they stayed in the other room and watched Lifetime. I don't think she ever told me to "Shut the fuck up and get a job" ever again.Myself: OK, here I am.
Grandmother: Good. Now come in-
Myself: Ah-ah-ah...that's not how it goes.
Grandmother: Don't interrupt-
Myself: Tone is better, but still not right.
Grandmother: Come in here and talk to us.
Myself: Yeah I heared you the first time. Now tell me to shut the fuck up.
Grandmother: I'm not going to-
Myself: Tell me to shut the fuck up...
Grandmother(angrily): Shut the fuck up!
Myself: Now tell me to get a job.
Grandmother(angrily): And get a job!
Myself: Good. Conversation over, have fun watching TV.
Grandmother: Wait, no-Get back in here!
