I let it slide. Everybody makes mistakes. But only if it's a new person, if it's someone who should really have picked up that the thread's been done a lot lately, they get the rage.0p3rati0n said:Do you ever go easy on someone new here? For instance when someone new posts a thread that has been done 5 billion times; do you just let it slide or do you drop the 'search' bomb on them?
I won't lie. I've been a dick to new members before, but I think that we should try to welcome new members and make them feel welcome. (Saying welcome to The Escapist isn't hard)0p3rati0n said:Do you ever go easy on someone new here? You need to be the annoying guy who's always there in the first 5 replies then.EmileeElectro said:I've never told anyone to use the search button.
They're usually new, and about 50 billion people have said it before me, so I don't bother.
It's also possible your opinion might change. Like the your favorite band thread. You might say you like this band. But a week later you might find a new favorite band and a new favorite band thread shows up.mkg said:Doesn't matter, those threads still get a hundred posts so why would anyone stop?
No one ever lets what slide? People not using the search button or breaking the rules? I try to myself, there are some crimes that one can not forgive. But they are few and far between. But to be honest, even I've broken these rules before, so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't forgive other people for it. And I think there are few people here that have can say any different.coxafloppin said:No one ever lets it slide ever <<FACT.
