No, because I knew what I was getting when I bought it. I had no illusions of grandeur like so many apparently did. It does what I thought it would, it does it as well as I thought it would.

Exactly.

I wasted my money on the Wii craze. I should have saved my $250 for something better.
A sense of fun for your grey, grey life?

That said, I am annoyed at the influx of crappy casual games. The sooner they start making hardcore games again, the better.

What's that supposed to mean huh? I have fun, and there were some bright horizons for the Wii, like Brawl and Galaxy. But Nintendo seems to ignore their success and give us unrelated titles like wii music and wii fit, that sell well just because they have the nintendo name plastered all over them. I bought my Wii as a gaming console, not a multimedia entertainment device for things other than games. I have actual exercise equipment for that, and if i want to have fun while doing it, I'd go swim or play basketball or play with my dog. If i want to make music, I have a piano sitting right next to my tv. They have Garage Band for like $50 which is a much better alternative to wii music. Since nintendo has achieved this "godlike" status, they feel they can pretty much package crap, plaster the nintendo label on it, and expect it to sell well. The scary thing for me is, it does sell.

You can argue all you like, doesn't change the fact that it's a fail console for the traditional gamer. Breaks every rule we hold sacred. They're cheap, have inferior graphics, have gimmicky controls and unreal amounts of shovelware. Financial success, gamer's nightmare.

I'm disappointed that in the 2 (?) years it's been out, there have been approximately 2 games worth buying. Smash and Mario Galaxy.

For the hardcore crowd it certainly is... once you're done with Metroid Prime 3, Galaxy, Twilight Princess(which is an effing gamecube port anyways!), SSBB, and now MadWorld there's really nothing else enjoyable, no online (good online anyways) support, all the vc games can be easily found for cheaper than listed at pawn shops or online (or even emulated). I did not stay loyal to Nintendo through all the marketing and news as far back as when it was called the Revolution, go in line at 4 in the morning in mid November and pay almost 300 bucks for five or so excellent games... sorry Nintendo but your hardcore crowd just doesn't love ya anymore (not that they care, the money grubbing chimps)

I may be wrong, but I find it silly to blame Nintendo for the lack of good games on its console. As many have said, there are some good games on the Wii and most if not all are made by Nintendo. Does some of the blame not lie with third party developers? From what I hear the Wii is comparatively easy develop for (it was cited as a reason for the new Monster Hunter game switching from PS3 to Wii) so why can't third party developers get off their arses and make something worth playing.

Unless the reluctance of 3rd party developers is Nintendo's fault (entirely possible, I'm hardly the most knowledgeable about this stuff) I suggest we stop pinning the blame on them.

Total waste of money, got one for the kids they played with it for one afternoon and then were back on their PCs. Don't think it has been turned on since.

Huh. well, it has a difficult control scheme to develop for, difficult hardware to make good, and difficulty not making a gimmicky mess of everything. But I don't hate the Wii, I love all my consoles, and the wii in particular because it plays nintendo first parties, along with some actually good games, like no more heroes, Madworld, deadly creatures, and many others I'd rather not make a list of.

I hate it enough to be mad at myself for buying it but not enough to trade it in for 80 dollars or whatever gamestop will give me for it.
