In CoD I reload after every kill. It used to be a problem, because I'd kill someone, reload and then someone would pop around the corner and kill me. EVERYTIME! But now I'm much better at anticipating where most enemies are.

I do. I never use LMGs, and in CoD, I tend to use Sleight of Hand if I'm using an Assault Rifle. On BC2, unless I notice somebody right after I shoot or am in the middle of a snipe-countersnipe situation, I reload after every shot. Halo usually gives me time to reload after every use of a gun.

Reloading ocd has set me back so much in some of the recent releases...for example

On Deus Ex i do it all the time but the only problem is...well..you have limited ammo to the point were you need to save every last bullet..i don't think i'm ever gonna beat this game XD

I hate how many ( almost all games) automatically sort and fill your mags when you reload. its annoying.

It should be like in real life. you have X amount of mags, and when you only use part of one, and change to another, that mag is still part full.

My version of Adam Jensen's preferred method of killing is to take his laser-sighted, magazine-extended 10mm pistol, poke his head out from behind cover, cap one head, get back behind cover and instantly reload. In Team Fortress 2, I generally unload whole clips into people, unless they die before then (because I prefer to go for lone targets.) Depends on the game, it seems.

I had it and it got me killed more that a few times, but I managed to get over it by using a lot of semi-automatic weapons. They taught me to be able to assess how many rounds I still had left, so now I don't do it anymore. And I taught myself to get to safety before reloading.

yes I am one of the biggest OCD reloaders out there and what makes it worse is that my friends and my own brother are not and whenever I play with them I get close to commiting murder.

The only first person shooter I've been playing recently is Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.

There is no magical bullet sharing, you're switching your ammo source out for a full one.

I didn't even notice it. I just do it. And got killed like a bazillion times as a result.

Yeah, i reload as often as i can but not when im still fighting. My hit accuracy is pretty good though so its not really that much of a concern.

If you can't aim properly, keep reloading ;p

In Splinter Cell Conviction, after every shot, regardless of whether it's with my infinite sniper pistol or secondary weapon, *CK-SHKT*. I think it might just be because I like the sound of a rifle being cocked.

Likewise, in Call of Duty games, as long as it's not something that takes an age to reload like the initial LMG (unless you've got Sleight of Hand which makes it hilarious) I find myself reloading way more often than seems necessary.

I just instinctively reload after every kill. It's not like I particularly think about it it's just a habit. :3
You took the words right out of my mouth. ;-;

Perhaps the only time when my reloading OCD *doesn't* come into play is when I've accepted I'm going to die.

I do it after every kill in CoD which probably equates to why I'm so awful. When looking at other games like TF2 or even Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I tend not for some reason, maybe it's because I'm just more comfortable with the game.

depends on game and situation, if there is a good pause in firefight then sure, I rather go to next fight with full clip

I reload only when necessary. Whether that be due to an empty mag, almost empty mag, large amount of enemies or spare ammo that I couldn't pick up otherwise. I've trained myself to avoid reloading as soon as I make a kill unless it's actually necessary.
