Ahh Yes with the holiday season among us I thought it would be fun to bring out my old SNES and play some mario games. It reminds me of the old days when good graphics were considered to be little blocks stringed together. Also that and the sense of achievement I got after finally beating bowser after all the "The Princess is in another castle"s. But overall I keep them because I my game-ginity to them.

So do you keep your old consoles? Why do you keep them for?

Edit: Plus I love the feeling of blowing.... the cartridges.

Got rid of my PS2 three years ago, bought a new one 2 months ago.
So no, but I will buy it back. I always seem to end up wanting to buy back stuff I've sold.

I can't play Disgaea 2 on my PS3. I'm not letting over 300 hours of play go to waste.

I still have every game console I've ever owned. I love playing the old games and collect some older games. I recently bought Super Castlevania IV...

I would buy Earthbound... if the local game store didn't charge $80 for it...

I keep them because they're better than newer consoles.
Older systems- Sega Genesis, Saturn, Game Gear, PSOne, PS2, NES, SNES, GBA SP, Neo Geo Pocket Color

My Genesis has never failed on me, it's never needed repairs or fixing, yet 6 360s and 4 PS2s later I'm still playing my Genesis and loving it.

I keep my GBA SP because I think it's much better than the overcomplicated DS.

Well, we (my sister and I, up until recently, we've owned all our consoles together) have sold our old SNES (because we had virtually no games for it, because the first SNES we had, we were forced to sell by our parents when we got a N64) and N64 (since the controls are garbage, and the only games worth playing, we have for the GC)...

But I still have our GameCube (it's not THAT old, but still), and my sister has a PS1.

However, I don't actually have any *cough* current gen consoles, because the last time I was going to buy one, my laptop broke down, and I had to pour my money into getting a new one. Thus, I mostly play PC games, 'til I can afford a 360, at least.

I do still love my GC, though, and I don't plan on selling it anytime soon, even though the controllers are slowly breaking down, one by one.

I have my old Gameboy Advance, Colour... and the ORIGINAL Gameboy (aka, the GreyBrick).

I have my old Gamecube in my cupboard, my sister's old Dreamcast, 2 PS2s (one PAL, one NTSC).

Wish I'd have kept my old Megadrive and Atari STe...

I own every console I've ever had...except for the Wii. I sold that so my brother could get a 360. But I do intend to re-buy one when I get the chance. So yeah.

i still have every console and every game, except for those i've traded for others :D Most of them are still good enough to be dug out in a game release drought, and nothing beats playing tetris on the original brick gameboy in a train and having strangers suddenly start singing along when you unconciously begin humming the tune :D

Sure do. I've got my PS2 with me cause I'm never going to sell Persona 4 anytime soon. Or The Punisher. Or P3:FES. Or Tales From The Abyss.

Moreso, I still have my N64. I don't know where the majority of my games are, but as long as I have Harvest Moon 64, then I am completely satisfied.

Still have my SNES, with Earthbound, Super Metroid, LoZ:ALttP, Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario World. Two functioning controllers and everything. Technically I still have an old NES, but it doesn't work at all--house flooded some years back, and it was one of the biggest causalities. N64, PSone, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, and PS3, GBC, GBA, and soon a DS is my stock.

That's right, THE NES.

And who DOESN"T have a PS2?

I hate selling things. But for some reason I sold my cousin my PS1 years ago. I think I broke it though, so it's all good...
