Do you Like Fallout 3? Yes.No.

There are so many things about this game I absolutely cannot stand. But when I blow off another raider's head with my hunting rifle... I cannot help but LOVE IT!
I honestly didn't really like it. The combat had its moments where i thought it was incredibly awesome, but then that excitement died quickly. I really didn't like all the walking at all. It really just bugged the hell out of me. It was a good game, I just really didn't "wow" me.
I loved it, however I liked oblivion more. Oblivion with guns is a fair review of the game in my mind. All the real problems with oblivion are in fallout. Stuff like some stats are far more useful (str&agi), some play styles are impractical (stealth in oblv, scientist in fallout)
While the AI has improved a bit in fallout, NPCs still do stupid things like walk in front of your fire and what not.
I just felt like Oblivion had more things to do and places to see then Fallout. I find it rather odd how someone can hate Oblv and love fallout unless they hate melee combat

Absolutely loving it, I haven't finished it yet though, I'm spending loads of time just exploring everything that I can, but from what I've heard that's maybe not a bad thing. At some point I definately want to install some of the mods out there, I've seen some that look really promising.

I liked it. I think. Thats my problem you see, i am indecisive. The thing about it was the lack of humour which was more prevalent in the previous Fallout games. I found myself becoming quite depressed whilst wandering around the wastes and was just longing for a good ball gag joke. It was well designed, good looking and i feel that VATS was a good idea even if it was just a glorified pretty kill button. I do agree the ending was the equivalent of very large granny pants but the DLC should extend the life of the game a bit more and then we shall all be smiling our very best Vault Boy smile. I think so anyway...
Overall yes I do like Fallout 3. It's better than either Morrowind or Oblivion, but worse than Fallout 1.
My main complaints would be the lockpicking(it was bad enough in Oblivion but in Fallout 3 it sucks) and the inclusion of things from Fallouts 1+2 for no real reason.
Ultimately I like the game but I would like it alot more if it wasn't called Fallout 3.

Fun game but i found a lack of replay value and it needed more incentive to explore. Some buildings like Dunwich were intresting but others like RoBo Co. were just boring. Also if there is no quest and no loot that will help you heaps in late game I tend to find my exploring pointless.

I borrowed the game for a weekend and thought it was really good.
However, all the walking in quite repetitive landscapes was a bit irritating. But, having not played either Oblivion or another Fallout game, I can't say whether I prefer it by comparison...
