I like Callan, haven't met anyone else with it yet, lots of people call me callum though by mistake, I try to correct them. My English teacher insisted that my name was Bernard for 2 years...

Joshua. A fitting name, I suppose, for one of my family's religious background. I personally don't like it so much- I'd rather name myself, honestly.

I like it =) But I once asked myself, if I HAD to change my name, what would I change it to? The one I picked was Isaac.

I like my name (Bryn), but it is a bother, people always mishear it or misread it, I have been called Brendan, Bryan, Brent, Bren, Byrne, Byron. Then I get asked if it is short for something, if it has more like Bryncent, Brynith, etc. Then I have to validate with some people that it IS a real name, explain the Welsh origin, but no I'm not Welsh though. Gah.

So yeah I'm calling my sons if I have them Hank (Henry) and Eric.

Apparently means 'Usurper'. My full name apparently translates out to 'Usurper and Conqueror', so that's pretty awesome.

It does get rather annoying when people spell it wrong, but after 18 years, you get used to it.
Wouldn't change it for the world

Andrew's okay, but I prefer my middle name (Jairus) because Jay is a cooler short name than Drew.

It's okay.
It's actually spelt Emily but I thought that was crap and boring, so I've been spelling it Emilee for the past 5/6 years now. Just thought I'd try be different in the sea of Emily's at my school xP

Dorian

My mother named me after a man who sold his soul to the devil for vanity's sake... I'm not sure if that's a bit missed up or totally awesome!!! At the very least I have an uncommon name.
I've never changed my name or used a nickname, but pretty much every female I've been involved with just calls me Dori since it's easier, and I think I'm okay with that.

Joe...

It's just so boring and unassuming. It's salvageable, though: if I changed my last name into a one-syllable word that was quite fun (like Fox) that'd make a nice name.

Joe Fox. Always wanted that name - short a simple, but still kind of fun. Plus, if I ever married, the name 'Fox' goes with everything.

On the plus side with Bryn, no nickname has ever stuck, my first name is both unique and short. My last name is generic too.

It's OK. It's a common name, but not the super-common kind where people who know you know at least four or five other persons with the same name. And as much as it would have been cool to have a fancy, special name that only I have, at the end of the day a sort of common name is probably the best way to go.

My last name is among the most common in Sweden though, which kind of sucks. I mean, what's the point of having a name that tells people what family you come from if thousands and thousands of other families use the same name? There's no real use to writing it, you might as well leave it blank, it would make the same impression. I usually just write my first name and then the first letter of the second name followed by a dot, it looks a little better.

My parents decided to give me a very unique name. Now, I love my parents, but seriously, fuck them for doing that to me. People are always mispronouncing it, in fact most of my friends still say it wrong, and I've given up trying to correct them.

Recently I've started going by my, much more common middle name (ross). I kinda wish I'd thought of that sooner.
