Do you try to catch them all?

I tried for all of them but only succeded in the kanto pokedex in Leaf green (Maybe ruby and sapphire).

I have never succeeded in catching them all. I came very close is Saphire once, only needed like six more and then I lost it. I have no idea where it is and I was so close to victory.

Of course. I have all 493 Pokemon in my box in Diamond. All level 100 with the best competitive moveset available.

This is the saddest thing that I've ever heard:

A friend of mine had ALL 493 pokemon in his box all of them and he proved it to me.

But then a few days later he turned it on to play his game and bam the game said something like "file is broken" in fancier words. So he had to start a new game.

Did he cheat and the save crashed?

actualy no he had over 500 hours in his soul silver. He had EVERYTHING.
