This is about as confusing as the show usually is. Which is a good thing!
I wish the betrothed couple best wishes.

The Hollywood Reporter claims the wedding "is scheduled for New Year 2012," but does not specify a source. Take the wedding date with a grain of salt. I'll just use my salty tears.
There, there. Isn't Matt Smith [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1741002/] still single? You gotta dig a Doctor who can rock a bowtie!

Wait I am confused, is Georgia Moffett, Doctor Who's daughter in real life or just in the show?

If not that, what is wrong and could someone better explain this to me..?
I can't tell if you're trolling, being sarcastic or what, so I might as well answer at face value: Peter Davison, the 5th Doctor, is her father in real life. David Tennant, the guy she's marrying, was the 10th Doctor and her father in the show.

Everyone will be a bit sad about this, in a way. Women because they all want to marry him, men because they want to marry her... aw, who am I kidding, I'm a straight guy and I'd marry him too. Interesting that I've heard several others say the same thing over the course of the day.

She's lovely though, we had the pleasure of her appearing in another show a while before she arrived in Doctor Who.
I wasn't trolling but others also explained it and I now understand.

Hey guys, let's not judge. Time Lord morality regarding incestuous relationships could be totally different from our own.
Actually, (assuming the background info from the New Adventures hasn't been retconned yet like everything else pre-RTD) given how Time Lords supposedly are formed, incest isn't even possible, so no worries there.

Good for him. I sure hope it works out better than the last time two Who costars (briefly) tied the knot. (Tom Baker and Lalla Ward, for those who don't remember.)

Erm...I thoght David Tennant was quite openly and happily homosexual...He has all of the right characteristics for it. Hell he lasted multiple seasons withthe notoriously gay director throwing John Barrowman at him every 3 episodes...

Is this a celebrity sham marriage or do I have some major wires crossed?
Russell T Davies was the writer/producer not director - sorry, my Whovian instinct insisted on that clarification.

Anyway, no it's genuine. DT does have rather a taste for blondes - his previous girlfriend was the rather stunning Sophie Myles, another of his Who co-stars, who played Madame De Pompadour in the (brilliant) episode, The Girl in the Fireplace. Lucky git.

OT: Seeing as he's a lifelong fan, and Peter Davison is his favourite Doctor, does this count as the ultimate in memorabilia collecting...?

Fan 1: I have Jon Pertwee's autograph!
Fan 2: I have Tom Baker's scarf!
DT: I have Peter Davison's daughter!

Also, in 30 years or so, their first child should definitely be cast as the 20th Doctor.

So, he's married the daughter of an actor who played the previous incarnation of a character he played, and said daughter played the genetic clone of his character's current incarnation.

...My head hurts.

Basically The Doctor's clones are getting married.

The actual Doctor is Matt Smith now, but Tennant would still portray the half-human clone, while Moffett is the clone that kept most of the Time Lordiness but got the whole gender-reversal and slight gene-randomization thing going for her.

So Jenny stole Rose's boyfriend. She's gonna be pissed off.

Isa he really that handsome? Or is it the Felicia Day deal where because he was in Doctor Who geeks view him through rose tinted goggles?
Well Felicia Day is adorable, watch the video about making Codex's staff for proof.
She is not Scarlett Johansen hot though.

Good for them, and if any of those genes breed true there will be some great new stars on dr. Who in about 25 years.

And a million fangirls' hearts crumble to dust...
Let's just hope these co-stars come couple stay together longer (and more happily) than Tom Baker and Lalla Ward did. Tennant may be a bit of a douche, but at least he isn't batshit insane.

David Tennant is now engaged to Georgia Moffett, the woman who played his daughter in Doctor Who. If thats not weird enough, her dad is Peter Davison. Who played the fifth Doctor. Wow, i need a lie down.

They split up, actually.
Really? And here I heard that they had a great marriage despite Hall's struggle with his health problems. It's a shame, they made a cute couple, IMO.

People assume that romance is a strict progression of cause to effect but actually, from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, lovey-dovey...stuff.
Dude, that right there wins the internet.

isn't she not only his daughter, but also a female clone of the doctor with a few bits of dna altered to make it less wierd?

so she's the doctor's daughter in real life, and getting married to the doctor, who is also her father in the show, but she's also a clone of him, and now the doctor's dad IRL is also the doctor... /Headsplosion
