This isn't a conventional problem BTW. My family is now doing a yearly Christmas tradition of giving away $300 worth of Walmart/Wegmans/ gift cards to a few families who can't afford to buy Christmas/Holidays "supplies". I'm the only kid in the family who thinks it's an awesome idea, I'm also the youngest, every other kid in the family being is all self centered and whiny/brattish about not getting better gifts on Christmas EVE! we're still having Christmas day, they're acting as if we're sacrificing our Christmas for someone else. Sending out (as an extended family by the way, that means aunts uncles etc,) $900 of gift cards to people who want to have a good Christmas is the least we could do. It's moments like this that I start to lose faith in humanity. Here's a quote of my 18 year old brother on the topic "Christmas is about making your family happy! It's not about making another persons family happy!" I swear to god I wanted to punch him in the mouth.
