What makes you think he's a werewolf?
...no, I'm talking about misanthropy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misanthropy], not lycanthropy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycanthropy]. Two very distinct things.
I think he was joking? I hope he was joking.

I like getting messages. I don't post enough to get flooded with them, so it's nice to get the occasional bit of human contact.

As for friends, so far I have two: both people I spoke to briefly over private messages, who seemed like decent folk. So far there hasn't been anyone who's seemed "real" enough to friend after only reading and replying to their public comments. *shrug* I rarely add people on Facebook either, maybe it's just a style.

I personally like getting new messages but also I've only ever had one which was someone wanting to be my friend. I've never been quoted so I never even knew you could get messages for that and as for the friends thing, like I said, only one person has befriended me and I'm just not the type of person who would go around adding other people as my friend for no good reason.

I love messages. I wake up every day to have somewhere between 3 and 7. I have a long history of talking to a certain Escapee and joy every moment of it. So while replying back and forth, everytime I see Messages (1) at the top of the screen, I assoicate that with happiness.

The messages... They scare me...

"I see... Dead messages."

Yeah, I always wonder whether I'll get a nice little ego boost or the wrath of some foul internet creature.

I like messages, most of them mean that somebody quoted me somewhere and a conversation can be made on an interesting thread - I hate so much the topics about our slightly different colored pink skin and the mating between gays...

I am curious whenever I get new messages. I always click the link to my mailbox, so to speak, just to see what is there.

The only time I ever get messages is when I get awarded a badge, or when I get quoted... which rarely happens :(

I'm sorry I had to go and add you to my friends for that...

I quite like getting messages actually. Usually means somebody actually took the time to read, quote and expand upon/rebuke what I've posted. It gives me a warm feeling inside.

Same here. I think I've only had one message that didn't concern either of those things...

YEAH! I got quoted! But yeah I'm the same, I think I only ever got one message that wasn't either a quote or a badge award :(

I like it when I get messages but normally the messages I get are just badge notifications, although during the Halloween events there was a significant increase in messages which I thoroughly enjoyed, but the friend messages are the rare ones which I don't see many of since I have a strict policy of not adding friends until they add me as a friend first(I only broke this rule twice though, and that was to add the mods just in case I needed to send them a PM for whatever reason).

I mostly just get a ton of
messages-- personally, I love that feature. After posting in a thread I seldom check it again unless someone has quoted me.

So, no-- I enjoy checking my messages. The rules of this site aren't difficult to follow... unless you go around posting stupid shit you should have nothing to worry about.

I almost never get messages and I'm not afraid of being banned. Although, now that I've said that I'm sure someone here will think it's funny to do it. Sigh.

Yes! They're like mini birthday presents.

Don't fear. The reaper that is. I don't know what your fussing over. I've always imagined that if it DID happen to me then there would be a justifiable reason for it. Yea? YEA!?

FUCK YOU GUYS! YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!

Not the best way to go out, do it with a little [i\]respect[/i]. Don't let them remember you as having been a big ****. Or whatever happens. Let them know... that you were... something else... that isn't... [i\]cuntly[/i]. Like. . . I don't know.

Does anyone else on this forum dread new messages as much as I do?
I used to be, when I was foolish enough to get banned, and I would hope I didn't get messages for fear of "Forum Ban Notice" as the subject line.

very funny guys.

I like it.
Either you get a chance to yell at a fanboy, have a well rounded discussion or have your self-esteem boosted by people agreeing with you.
