Secondly you said you played this all during the "weekends time" and that you played about 80 hours (from adding up your playthrough times) that means you played 80 hours in two days, when there are only 24 hours in a day, so in the same post as telling me to get my facts straight, you claim you did something that literally defies the laws of physics.
Actually, if he was in timezone +12, and after one hour went to the +11 timezone, then +10, and so forth till at the end of the day he was at -12, and then on sunday go from -12 to +12 and back to +11, +10,... Wouldn't that give him a 96 hours long weekend?

OT: I loved the game, just finished it. Yeah I thought combat was kinda boring, just mindlessly bashing one wave after another. Then again, that's what I did in DAO too.

I loved the story. Saying stuff like, "worst bioware writing ever" is ridiculous, as taste is just an opinion. If anything, DAO was a completely cliché good vs evil fantasy, just like every other fantasy story out there. (I love DAO btw).

You're right, I better go apologize to the poor guy, he obviously played the game from a +12 timezone and traveled across the world on a plane while doing it just so he could post something surprising in a barely legible post on The Escapist.

Yes I realize you were joking, it was fucking brilliant (and I mean that sincerely)

It was very good. If you liked DA:O, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, there should be plenty to like here. Bioware has a formula, and this is very in keeping with that formula.

The game was a little rushed and shows it in some areas. The re-used environments are an often quoted and legitimate gripe, and the third act feels a little half-baked.

The game might suffer from "middle-chapter-itis" for some people. The switch in protagonist, the desire to set up a new direction for the plot for DA3, the focus on a smaller area and an individual's rise to prominence vs yet another world-ending catastrophe...these can be hurdles for people who are used to a fine spray of cliche over their fantasy RPGs.

Basically, if you go in with an open mind, and are capable of enjoying good games for being good games regardless of the nature of their mechanics, you will find much to love about DA2. If you go in pissed and vindictive about style changes, you will find plenty to complain about.

I enjoy it ALOT, but at the same time there's no huge draw, been playing too much SL instead.

It gets stale far too fast compared to the last game.

I'm on my second play though and I think I'll leave it as that.
Quoting to say how awesome the avatar is. That needed to be done.

Im not sure about it to be honest. Im very very tempted to buy it, but hey i thought origins was JUST in my boundry to buy when i first saw it, and it was AWESOME. Maybe this one will be too.

my biggest complain was that varric sometimes decides that he wants to run in to middle of a group of enemies and start trying to stab them. i hate that bug more that any of the other bugs, the game is a lot fun when that does not happen.

I gave up shortly after the deep roads expedition. When it looks like the Quanari might start a war. (Don't know what actually happens so I can't be more specific.) It feels more like an MMO then a proper RPG. I mean all you do are sidequests, with little to no connection to the overall story. I thought the first one was a helluva lot better, but people seem to complain for the wrong reasons.

I'm complaining about how it was "dumbed down" I'm complaining about the story, or precisely, the lack of a story.

It so good I dont even want to talk about it, Id rather just go play. I love this game in its entirety. Except the first act. the dull, long, boring first act with a fantastic conclusion, but not great middle. The combat is better, character interaction is better, I have the opportunity to make hawke a sarcastic douchebag, etc. I love it. PLaying through the second time so far. First warrior, now rogue, mage next!

I'm over 20 hours in, if you played through it three times you either skipped huge amounts of content or have absolutely no obligations such as school or work.
MARCH BRAKE BITCHES! 3rd play through already.

I loved it on my first playthrough. It's nice to have a character who actually talks and reacts to other people instead of just making faces in the background.
I let my friend borrow it right after I started my second game and now I'm experiencing withdraw-like symptoms!

Not too excited. So far its degenerated down to me spamming the A button and occasionally moving another party member away from an ass beating. This is on hard. I'm a level 8 Reaver Fighter.

The more I play it, the more I realize that the change in companion armor customization (or rather, lack thereof) was less of a different gameplay direction as it was a new art direction. I mean, would Varric or Isabella hold the same idea of character in your mind if they wore varying shades of generic plate or chain the entire game?

OT: Currently on my second play through on PC, and enjoying it much like any other Bioware title. Yes, it's different than traditional RPG's, but I'd rather have Bioware experiment with innovation of old formulas than have them churn out the same game with a different name.

Personally, I adore Dragon Age 2, aside from occasional glitches I can't find a single thing I don't like. I definitely don't regret pre-ordering before January 11 (Auto-Upgrade to the Signature Edition).

The only reason I'm not playing it now is because I'm eating and my sister decided she wanted to play right now. lol

I'm enjoying the game, as well. Sure, there are some flaws and some design changes that I wish hadn't happened, but overall it's another great game for BioWare with the same quality in storytelling and character depth that I've come to expect.

I care for it, as do many gamers in the Uk (DA2 at number one retail spot atm) ^^

On my second playthrough, doubt I'll stop there.

I bought and played the first Dragon Age game, Origins.

It failed to impress me and I am simply not interested in this.
