Remember growing pains from your bones stretching out a bit? Imagine if your entire skeletal structure was rapidly morphing and rearranging itself in the matter of a minute or two. Yeah, I think that'd hurt.
Yeaaaaah, I don't want to imagine that.. LOL

Those shows or movies or even games that show the person passing out after a transformation seem to have it down accurately, because I don't think anyone would be able to go through such an experience without feinting from the agony of all those bodily changes... I honestly don't see how anyone would ever get used to such a thing.

I doubt you could scream. You probably pass out. Or, it hurts so much (like being teleported, or being ripped apart at a molecular level) that you can't even feel it.

... It's idiotic to not assume they're in pain. Imagine it... have you seen Van Helsing? THAT is proper transformation!

Usually it involves rearranging the skeletal structure, which I'm guessing is incredibly goddam painful.

Well, my bones moving around, my organs shifting, wings and shit popping out my skin, does that all hurt?
Nah, couldn't hurt.

One word: Animorphs

All you need to know about animal transformations in that series.
The Andalites did work a pain nullifier into the morphing technology, true. But just the sound of ripping, mutating flesh and bone... *shudder*

my bones are growing, moving and changing shape,
my muscles are moving, tearing, regenerating in such a way that allows my skeleton to be in such a shape
my nerves are twisting in accordance to what my shape is
hair is growing rapidly out of my body
my teeth are growing longer and thinner.

think about how that would feel, and therein lies the answer.

it depends really, with some types the entire mass sort of liquifys and changes shape then hardens again. But if we are talking about you bones and nerves and tissue and all that jazz moving around to create an entirely different shape, then yes it would hurt like a Mo Fo
