On the one hand, I am most familiar with Britney Spaniels, because that's my Dad's favorite breed.

On the other hand, corgis are awesome and I want one.

I hate dogs. All of them. Wolves, foxes, other sorts of Canids, sure. But with domesticated dogs, we've bred them to be certifiable morons.

I got a new puppy a few days ago (Mutt, possibly German Shepherd/Collie/Lab mix), as well as an older German Shepherd, and I really don't have a favourite. When I move to some place colder, I might get a H-to-the-usky-Husky, but if I had to chose one now, I'd say German Shepherd, I guess.

That is a boarder collie (I have one)

I tend to like burmese mountain dogs I find they tend to be very effectionate
I also used to have a australian shepard which I miss dearly... He was great he was increadably friendly but would be the first there is sombody was to threaten you and man could he jump. He would jump into the back of our pickup without running just standing still.

This is what my dog looks like (It isn't my dog, but it is close enough):

It's brilliant! It doesn't bite, it barks at strangers (Which can get annoying, but it's a good instinct, no?), it knows when enough is enough, and best of all, it doesn't piss all over the carpets!

Edit: What a coincidence! My dog is named "Pom". ColdStorage's dog is a pom.

I have a black Pomeranian called Spartacus, he looks like this but in black

Although my favourite breed is the Rottweiler, I get on really really well with them, I know they can be nasty dogs but even ones I've met that are known to be vicious seem to like me and follow me about and listen to me (odd), maybe its my attitude that attracts them.

Yeah, I have a breed of dog that is known for being "for queers and girls", might as well change my name to Paris Hilton or something.

Well, I love how sweet Bloodhounds are, and Corgis (either variation) are adorable with their stubby little legs. However, because of where I'm at in life right now, if I got a dog, it would probably be a West Highland Terrier. You know, that little white dog from the Caesar dog food commercials? So cute! And they're small and very adaptable to apartment living. That and they just want to chill out on the couch with you. My kind of dog!

My dog is a weird breed called a Whippet, theyre kind of a smaller version of the greyhound. If you want a dog that doesnt need that much care then you should get a Whippet

I have a Groodle here (standard Poodle crossed with a Golden Retriever - she's a very intelligent, family orientated dog. She never drops any hair as it's like wool and is the most comforting, happy friend I've had for a long time. =) If your doing something in the house, you can bet she's always by your side with a big smile. ^^
My next door neighbour has a poodle cross breed too, pretty sad story as to how he "acquired" him, his names Indy and he has free run of my house too (gets on well with Spatarcus, always a plus), he's a cocker spaniel poodle cross breed, a cockapoo as it were although I call him a pooeycock !

Indy's also a hugely happy dog, maybe its the whole cross breeding thing?

I think it kind of depends. I think the King Charles Cavs are really cute, but a bit small. I like border collies a lot. I personally have a papillon and a border collie. Those are both very intelligent dogs.

[snip] and the Siberian Husky (because they look the most like their wolf ancestors).
If you like a dog that looks like a wolf, you'll love the Saarlooswolfhond. I've yet to see a dog that looks more like it's ancestor.

I'm a huge fan of the GSD but I've never owned one. I'm looking into getting one as soon as possible. The only problem is that I travel a lot and that's the sort of lifestyle I'll always have.

I also grew up with dachshunds and vizsla so they have a special place in my heart.

I have a 6 years old Portuguese Podengo, which is a rare breed of almost ancient Mediterranean hunting dogs. It's a very intelligent breed, often reaching the level of intelligence you'd expect from a 6 year old kid. Can hunt practically any game from Deer to Boar and Rabbits. They are very healthy lasting up to 20 years mostly because it hasn't been bred for any other purpose then be a long living, healthy, guard, hunting dog. It's been my loyal companion for 6 years now.

I love German shepherd's and alsatians. My favourite dog is the white German shepherd:

and they are cute as hell as puppies

One of my best friends has one and it is adorable. So yes, this is my favourite dog by a long way.

I have a Golden Retriever called Cob, (Yes, his name is Cob) and i couldn't ask for a better one.

However I love Japanese Akita's, they are amazing animals :)

I recently got back from a festival where the Trainers of the Direwolves from Game of Thrones had brought the dogs. They are all Shiba Inu's and apart from Lady, Sansa Starks Dog (I was told she now lives with the actress who plays Sansa) i got to meet them all. Shiba Inu's are an amazing breed.

Gotta go With the Japanese Akita though, they are bitchin dogs
