Hey people!
I am working on a study, report, whatever you want to call it about smoking and a big part of it is collecting answers from different groups of people. All this stuff will be completely anonymous and only the sources (for example, you people will just be listed as escapistmagazine.com) will be mentioned in the actual paper. Please answer the following questions truthfully and I will collect numbers and answers from ye for my paper. You can take part in this 'til 11.4.2012 or sunday next week, that's when I will collect the answers. If you could tell a couple of friends, I would be very thankful. The more there are answers, the better. Please only answer to questions that apply. As in, if you never quit, there is no use answering to questions like number 10, obviously.
1. Gender
Male
2. Age
26
3. Continent you currently live in
North America (Canada)
4. Do you use nicotine-products?
Very rarely
5. Ciqarettes, pipe, ciqars or snuff?
A Cuban cigar when the occasion merits it, the ones I do smoke put me out $30/each.
6. If you knew you could stop using nicotine-products painlessly without the risk of failing, would you?
I could quite easily never smoke one again, it wouldn't make a difference on my life.
7. Would you date a smoker?
Have several times, would again, smokers are people too.
8. What age did you start smoking?
24
9. What age did you stop smoking?
Let's call it this year, though I may puff on one or two more cigars before I die, so 26.
10. Did you quit with the help of products like gum or patches?
No
11. Would you say outside products like nicotine-gum help?
N/A
12. What do you say is the main reason for quitting?
Haven't had a reason, or the money, to buy a cigar in awhile.

- I should be able to be cool without (also goes for drinking a lot of alcohol for me)

- With the health risks and possible upcoming legislation to fine smokers (higher health insurance) I see absolutely no upsides to smoking.

4. Do you use nicotine-products?
Nope

5. Ciqarettes, pipe, ciqars or snuff?
Nope, only marijuana once in awhile.

6. If you knew you could stop using nicotine-products painlessly without the risk of failing, would you?
N/A

7. Would you date a smoker?
Most likely not. I would have to really like them, and they would have to be a part-time smoker. I've been with a guy who smoked cigars once in awhile, and that was alright, but smoking 10-30 cigs a day I couldn't deal.

8. What age did you start smoking?
N/A

N/A

10. Did you quit with the help of products like gum or patches?

11. Would you say outside products like nicotine-gum help?
My uncle stopped smoking by chewing regular trident gum. He said to do something else with his mouth all day definitely helped him stop. I would say it is better then nothing, but everyone will react different.

12. What do you say is the main reason for quitting?
Personal health and hygiene.

My mother was a heavy smoker until she was 45-ish and it really turned me off from it. I also became allergic to it, so that helped.
