It just goes into the whole "new is bad, old is good" idea which is bullshit, generally.
For me this is just about familiarity and memories. I'm a big nu-metal fan, and my music taste is pretty much stuck in the late 90s/early 00s. But a lot of those bands are still putting out new music today which isn't as good as the earlier stuff. I know before I even try listening to it that it won't be as good (I know!). It just doesn't capture that time of my life when music meant so much to me. (This could be paraphrased as 'I was young and everything was brighter'.)

Found a political compass quiz. I love it. It's so bad. It's the Power Glove of political quizzes.
Holy crap, that quiz's question were loaded. Giving you a black/white choice where there is a vast field of nuance and even completely other options available.
Got called a mainstay Dem in line with 16% of the population. Make of that what you will.

Sorry for the double post but the system wouldn't allow another file above and thought you all might find this bemusing.

I posted this question on the Shenmue subreddit and was immediately accused of spoiling the game. The mods even edited in spoiler tags.

What was Shenhua even doing in the forest in Shenmue II?
She's around 2 days away from her village with no supplies. What is she doing there? She says she goes to the port to buy supplies, but she doesn't even have a backpack, so that's obviously not what she was doing this time.
Seriously, I don't even. What's the spoiler?

The 1960s had some weird ideas about how we'd be living in the year 2000.

They figured out the proliferation of microwave ovens, big-screen TVs, and working from home (we got to that one a bit late; it was complicated) but stuff like the inflatable furniture and that Habitat 67 thing, not so much.

30-hour workweek and a month-long vacation... pure fantasy.
