Oof, that truck just evaporated. Yes, I know those boxes are actually quite flimsy
The driver walked away from it, and nobody else was hurt? Huh. Looks a lot worse than that, but I guess the back of the truck was flimsy and easily popped.

Capitalism: "I make sure that the best and brightest receive the greatest rewards."

Crypto King of Kentucky: "I'm going to torture this guy to give me his crypto wallet password, and take pictures of the torturing, and print up T-shirts with the pictures."

Apparently the torture included tasing the man while his feet were in a bucket of water, dangling him from a fifth-floor staircase, and using a chainsaw on his arms and legs.

Couldn't budge the tiger, but still thought 'let's try the elephant anyway'

Reminds me of that one poll where like 7& of men thought they could take a grizzly barehanded.

Hypo- and hyper- are prefixes which mean the exact opposite. And in fantasy (I think started, or at least popularised by Conan), people talk about Hyperborea, the far north. Wonder if any barbarians heard wrong and were supposed to go to the South Pole instead and found themselves on the exact opposite side of the planet.

I’ve always read that as “Hyboria” and that’s how it’s spelled on the DLC for Age of Conan and as far as I know in the books themselves, but according to Wikipedia - make ready your salt - it was based off Hyperborea in Ancient Greece’s mythology and tales. Some kind of northern continent or something blessed or favoured by Apollo.
