No, all the way bad. Completely mitigates the utility of a traditional TV tray. What happens when you jump up to go to the restroom, or hell, even reach for your phone or adjust for comfort? The "tray" is attached to you, so your movement is restricted to say the least, and mess will inexorably ensue when you forget your food is moving with you.
