One of my favourite YouTube channels, Paolo from Tokyo, has helped reinforce in my brain just how small Japanese living spaces are. Seriously I feel a little cramped in my 3bed1bath home but it has to be twice the size of the average Japanese apartment of similar fit out.Live by the algorithm, die by the algorithm, I guess.

I say all this because I can only imagine this guy’s YT income must have been substantial as hell because I cannot fathom how 15 people were fitting in a 3LDK Japanese apartment so must have had a much larger property.
Of course I’m assuming he is living in one of the large metropolitan areas. Houses in the rural parts would make this a much more viable arrangement since they’re much cheaper.
Still, what the hell?
