Everyone needs to stop posting Cracked articles D: oh god!!! So many lists, so little time, so much distraction.... no way out!! You read one, you click another... you're stuck there.

And yes, dolphins are total assholes. I read somewhere once that dolphins dragged a swimmer down kinda far, waited until they'd almost drowned, and then brought them back to the surface. Yeah, you let them live, but you probably scared the living Hell out of them. Why? For fun?

Her vagina probably smelled like fish.

Mind you, it's something that happens to vaginas once in a while for some reasons and causes.

I mean, come on!
I was wondering when someone would make a smells like tuna joke.
Vaginal secretions are simalar in nature to oils produced in sharks livers hence the smell when they have start to collect and... well, decay.

They're also rapists, don't forget about that (I probably shouldn't have said consedering my picture)
Sometimes they'll rape humans too, or so I've heard, I can't verify it. Oh wait, that's what the video shows. Sorry my bad, though it might have just wanted to play with her pants.
There was one off Sao Paolo(?, definitely Brazil) that was pretty famous for trying to bang women. Later on it attacked two guys because they were on his turf, killing one of them.

There are a lot of asshole animals that seem to kill for fun. Mountain lions and other big cats fall into the prick cat category as they'll kill for non-obvious reasons. Many big cats will actively stalk humans as a viable food source, rather than mistaking them for something else (like sharks do), attacking when sick or weak (like wolves), or as protection for young (like black bears). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsavo_maneaters Polar bears will also hunt humans as food in this manner. Primates will sometimes cannibalize young. My former zoo had sunbears that seemingly killed animals for fun. It probably wasn't intentional killing, just curiosity, but they would toss around and beat to death any animal that wandered into the exhibit, sometimes even tossing the body back and forth to each other. There are a lot of animals that kill for purposes other than food.

Nice list but I am actually surpirsed that ducks aren't on it. They just fly up and rape the females and often to death as they down in the water and keep going until they finish with them.
Ducks are some of the biggest assholes of the avian world and they're pretty fucked up to boot.

"Kees Moeliker allegedly made one of these observations while he was sitting in his office at the Natuurmuseum Rotterdam, when he heard the distinctive thud of a bird hitting the glass facade of the building. Upon inspection, he discovered a drake mallard lying dead about two meters from the building. Next to the downed bird there was a second drake mallard standing close by. As Moeliker observed the couple, the living drake picked at the corpse of the dead one for a few minutes and then mounted the corpse and began having sex with it. The act of necrophilia lasted for about 75 minutes, in which time, according to Moeliker, the living drake took two short breaks before resuming with copulating behavior."

Songbirds will do this too, but they don't have external genitalia so it doesn't have the mental impact that duck necrophilia and rape does.

Orcas have also been known to do that to swimmers. Tilikum, the bull orca that killed a Sea World trainer last year, did something like that to a trainer at Sealand. When she fell into the water, the three orcas in the tank grabbed her by her limbs and tossed her around and even played keep away when the other trainers tried to save her. It's hard to say if it's for fun or if they just don't know what they're doing. It might be like a little kid that doesn't know how to pet a cat and ends up manhandling it.

Dogs also try to rape people, how come they're not on the list.
Dogs behave that way due to imprinting on people. A dog that was raised by humans and away from other dogs won't understand that it's supposed to mate with dogs rather than people. Happens all the time with captive animals.

I guess I just wrote this wall of text to show that lots of animals do atrocious things just like humans.

Guess what, they the only other speices that kill for fun, as well as killing their own young.
You forgot cats, also i've heard of a freshwater fish, the snake-head that has been described as "kills almost as a reflex". Weather any of these three animals kill for "fun" is a psychological debate about weather they experience what we'd call "fun" in the first place. But in any case, dolphins are new to me on this but cats and snake-heads certainly have been known to kill for reasons not apparently connected to their survival (i'd say for fun personally though).

*EDIT* sorry i didn't read all the posts, i just got to yours first and decided to reply, but seems like a fair amount of people have pointed out what i said sooner.

A range of behavior that ranges from brutal to altruistic? Sound a lot like people to me. Having respect for life means accepting the good and bad of their behavior. You can appreciate their intelligence and their curious nature, but you also must be wary of the violence they can commit. Jane Goodall loves chimps, champions their protection, but she knows more than anyone the deprivation they succumb too. She knows how to study them without falling victim to them. She has a healthy respect of them. On the other hand, you had the Grizzly Man who placed his personal safety below his desire to commune with the bears, and got mauled to death. It was not the bears fault by any stretch of the imagination. That bear acted like a bear.

Nature is wondrous, but it is also very cruel. As far rape goes, mandatory consensual sex is a human invention, and a fairly recent one at that. Rape has been considered a crime for quite a while, yes, but until modern feminism, the reasoning behind it was almost always more proprietorial than emotional. A raped woman is considered "damaged goods". Without her virginity, her purity was suspect. Her deflowering decreased her value and thus the law intervened to protect the male property rights. If you argue this point, consider that until the mid 80's rape of a spouse was not considered a crime in most of America, even if those spouses where legally separated in some cases.

Great minds think alike, this is what I was thinking of.
Or the second one...

But seeing as which dolphins act so much like humans at times you know what we should do? No, not befriend them silly. That's what nice animals do.

We wipe them off the face of the Earth. We can have No competition.

Like the guy who got raped by the bear he raised. Ron Gilkes I think... I've been looking but I can't find the story and I don't want to type "Bear Rape" into google.

The most asshole animal I know are cats, and I know this because I've had cats. I've also had dogs and they're waaay much better. Cats are dicks and they know it, they like to play with you and your feelings.
