well, duh. Everything evolves...

Dolphins are learning to use tools. Not too noteworthy or entirely unexpected, but extremely interesting none the less. Mainly because I've used us being capable of teaching dolphins to use tools as an example of why woo-people arguments such as 'Beings of higher intelligence couldn't communicate with us' and 'We could never understand their language' and 'We'd ahve to understand the science behind it before we' be able to use it' are utterly false.

Perhaps I should go back to that nameless forum, resurrect the old thread and point this article out

Wonder what the conspiracists, woo-people and aliens-are-here-but-undetectable people would say to that.

Dolphins are evolving? Uh huh, BUT they'll evolve slowly, and I doubt if they ever get to a point that they can be considered a threat and we won't notice it. Hell, we didn't go from hunting and gathering to dropping Atomic bombs and purchasing sliced bread over night.
