don't play online. weird?

okay. i play xbox right? but never online. i play the single player and splitscreen modes only. does this make me weird, or does it mean that i'm not playing the game the way it's meant to be played? i mean i don't really care... about online gameplay. i like single player and always have fun playing against people in splistscreen, but like...should i be playing online??

I'm the same really. I dont play online so much because a) I have to pay extra on top of buying the game already b) Everybodys too competetive c) Im generally bad at everything online and d) you cant just pause and go do something, you have to wait till the end of the round or something. I dont mind online play but its not for me

No there's nothing wrong with you. Who would pay for online anyway? Is it worth the price, I say no. But then again I own a ps3.

I find that I only play online after completing the single player game completely. Eg. 100%
Some games I just don't play online on though... usually because I get sick of either the crappy Australian internet or because I get continually messed up by people who play too much.

I don't play my 360 online at the moment due to my membership running out. And I just haven't been bothered paying up again.

You're not alone. I have TF2, a Battlefield Heroes account, and Left 4 Dead. I hardly play any of them. I just much prefer single player games to multiplayer. Human company is overrated.

I only play online games (PC) but it's just personal preference.

If you have never tried online gaming you may aswell give it ago and then see if you feel the same, does the Xbox have some sort of trial period?

Nothing weird with that. Some years ago, I never did either. But some games are just meant to be played online. Play L4D with the AI controlled characters, and you won't get the full experience.

Now, I might have something regarding this topic that is weird. For some reason, I never play online with my pc. I don't know why, but... I just seem to have some weird aversion against it. My computer is not bad, it's not the newest gaming monster, but I play new games without lag. But for some reason, I just... won't. It's a subconsious thing, and I have no idea why. Only game I ever went online with was Warhammer Online. Maybe it's that I've never played online on my pc, and only started doing that on my PS3 when I got that. It might just be... habit, or becuase "that's the way things are". I don't know.

Yeah hence why I own a PS3. It doesnt cost more to play online and most of the time the people are more mature as people with mics are hard to come by.

I am the same. If there is a good singleplayer and the multiplayer off-line is good enough, I will only ever go online if I am THAT bored. Like-I only play Gmod online because i learn better by seeing other people's contraptions. Half life 2 deathmatch has no offline.

I have a friend who cannot understand this, and is constantly telling me to play online more "'cause it is better". But he has no reasons why. Hmmm.....No.

Playing online is way funner than on split-screen....and they can't screen-peak.
Go online give it a try, if you don't like it than get rid of it.

I'm the same. If i'm playing against someone, i want them in the same room so i can gloat if i win, or punch them if i lose. I'm a people person. By myself i like a good single player game.

Not weird. I love online play, big fan of TF2, L4D and a few MMOs, but I dont play xbox Live. Only 2 reasons why I dont though. 1. I just moved and cant afford the subscription atm and 2. I dont have an internet connection near my console.

If it wasn't for Halo 3, I probably wouldn't play online either. In general, I don't care much for online gaming, deathmatches, CTF, etc. There's just something about Halo that keeps dragging me back.
