If there's a God cheat on or something, I guess it explains a lot like when Shanks was bounced around like a pong ball and when they were poisoned by Cooking Mama.
I'd have to agreeCarne said:Alex Mercer probably has something to do with this.
It is probably because he is Toad. A typically non-aggressive NPC that relies on a fat Italian plumber to save his kingdom over and over again doesn't seem like the kind of person that would be a well trained gunman. It's atypical and seeing the little amount of talking he did with the Mario's, I'd say they don't know too much about him.kozmo said:What the hell was that!? the entire episode was weird. One of the weirdest things was the fact that they showed as in the episode that Toad is an extremely well trained soldier but yet from some reason, everyone think he is horrible. If it wasn't for the Michaels invincibility they would have died so many times and yet he is considered by everyone to be horribly untrained.
Seriously, did you see how fast he responded when he heard shanks? Did you see how fast he pooled out his gun and got direct hits to Shanks face even through his other hand was holding Lund and that his pistol was probably in his pocket or something? I have many other points about Toad, but the biggest point is-Toad isn't a wimp. He seems to be a war veteran but yet, from some reason he is considered a wimp.
That doesn't make sense.
Do you really think they would go for something that obvious? I suppose it is possible, I would just expect them to be more creative. (Given, with the problem at the end of episode 2 not being resolved, it is likely that the answer would be god mode)and about the invincibility- I vote for god mode
Video game characters are storming the streets and you are questioning the lack of realism...edit: how did shanks look at his forehead, that's impossible, why did the new guys that were killed start screaming in horror after they were shot rather than screaming of pain? And of course there is to ask why did they scream the same before, during and after they were shot without the shot actually making a difference in the tone of the scream?
It's hard out there for a mushroom. Gotta be prepared. Why did toad carry so many weapons if in the last episode he was just leaving Mario that doesn't respect him, rather than just carry a pistol?
That's okay, it really had no place here. Also, that logic guy is kind of boring and ruined the last party I was at. Screw that guy.In short- logic has left the building
Two weeks, actually. It is a *****, but I suppose something gotta give.jboking said:It is probably because he is Toad. OP: This episode kind of got me excited and then dropped me off at the end a little disappointed. I already figured they would still be alive, after all, that TF2 episode kind of proved they could suffer fatal injuries and live. What I wanted to know is why they were able to survive all of this and it looks like I'm going to have to wait till next week.

1.) Toad being a super soldier IS THE JOKE, come on really? Logic left the building when video game charactors entered the real world, this whole: The guy who everyone thinks sucks is actually amazing is a pretty standard gag, its not that weird.kozmo said:What the hell was that!? the entire episode was weird. I already said in my second comment that I just love this series and the fact that it's story illogical in a funny and awesome way, the problems that I did have are technical illogical problems, and as I said before, it was just nitpicking.danpascooch said:1.) 2.) Shanks TRIED to look at his forehead, who's to say if he saw it successfully? His eyes looked up, is that impossible? No, I am doing it right now, did a little indicator pop up on the bottom of your screen saying: "Shanks successfully saw the bullet hole in his forehead by looking up"?
3.) Toad carrying so many weapons is another joke, I get its not completely logical, duh, whats the deal anyway? Its annoying when a non logical show tries to be logical in a certain aspect and fails, but this is just an example of a non logical show attempting to be nonlogical and succeeding.
If you don't like the nonlogical nature of the show, don't watch it, but my question is: "Why would you bring this up now at episode TWENTY!" there are like 10,000 other things before this, seriously.
Except that they didn't die. They only passed out from shock. There are numerous cases where a subject passes out because the brain thinks they should have died. Who wouldn't think they were dead after getting shot in the head?Titch007uk said:5) No damage due to friendly fire. This fits nicely assuming they are on the same side for some unknown reason, given that the TF2 abstraction fits, the guns are the same. It's weird that they died from the first shots, but it could just be dramatic lisence.
