Of course, the reveal trailer in question clearly states that this isn't the last batch of characters to join the fight. I should hope not! Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was renowned for its massive (and massively imbalanced) roster,

This bothers me greatly when people on the internet (not you mr Funk, just in general) moan about the character balance in fighting games, most of us players aren't actually good enough to fully utilise a Top Tier character and against most people even online you'd be fine using crap characters against someone with lets say Storm*.

Against a pro player then yeah your fucked.

Here's an example, I use Leon Rafale in VF but I kick everyones ass when I use him, and he's known to be a low tier character, I also use Spiderman and Hayato on MVC against people and I win.

OT, this particular group of characters doesn't excite me, but then I remember that Dante is in the game and I get all giddy.

Definitely, they have taken a much larger role in the Marvel Universe altogether. Between their starring role in Secret Invasion, the revival of the Skrull Kill Krew, their emergence as an intergalatic superpower whose reach is long enough to threaten Earth, and their presence on the two premire young adult superteams (Xavin from Runaways, and Teddy from Young Avengers). It's about time, too, they were always more interesting that the Shi'ar or the Kree, especially as villains.
