It's funny how a broad majority (something like just over 90%) of people do not even buy DLC, and yet "we've devised a genius way to nickel and dime you" is still the company line these days.
Yeah, which is why Dragon Age earned over a million dollars in DLC sales in about a week after its release [http://www.gamespot.com/news/6239818.html?part=rss&tag=gs_news&subj=6239818]. Such a small minority must've just bought all the dlc 3 or 4 times I guess.

Actually, I was referring to a report from a few months ago, wherein the number of people that actually buy DLC (not just Dragon Age DLC) was estimated to be 6%. Statistics and sales numbers are not often if ever remotely identical.

Sure they still make money when they nickel and dime us for more withheld or extraneous content. All I'm saying is that if I read correctly, the majority of us know we're being robbed, and yet they still pitch it like it's a positive thing.

I would cite the article, but it's on a website that promotes material that I would rather not endorse, both as a matter of personal preference, and as a matter of avoiding a ban.

Wow, that shield clashes so hard with that armor...

Anyway, I find that a shame. I'd at least like to see DLC about your companions. I loved Lelian's Song.
I agree my good sir!

I think this is utter bullshit!

My biggest concern is that they'll pull a Mass Effect 2 with this. Now, I LOOOOOOOVE ME2, however the firearm selection was weak unless you downloaded a tonne of guns. I have 4 or 5 gigs of DLC from ME alone on my xbox. I seriously, SERIOUSLY hope they don't give me 4 or 5 swords or axes or wtv for my character.

We want a selection that matters, not a limited selection. Please bioware, don't screw this up!

I know right, wasnt there a big discussion a while back on Bioware forums about wanting more races for DA2? But on the Hawke issue; Hawke is a fully customizable Human IE: Gender, skin tone terrible hair-cut and (wo)manliness are all changeable, the Hawke that we see in the screenshots is like the Shepard thats on the box art of ME so yes you can be Ladyhawke. But still Im excited for the sequel even though the fact that we're probably gonna get railroaded around the terminus sys- I mean the Freemashes and have to sit through what was it like 130 minutes of cutscenes? DRAGON EFFECT HO!
Is that so?
Because I thought they had locked all of Hawke's features (except allowing him to be a woman) and that we'd essentially just be playing this one version we see in the screenshots?
