Duh huh huh huh. That's why the "Now, shut up."

If you've been on the Bioware forums though, this is a lot of what they say there. It's sad.

Sums up the overall reactions quite well.

And about the combat system, all they're doing is making it awesome on consoles. PC's will still have the tactical, zoom-out style as Origins.

Had to say it anyway; we've already had 3 people troll satires that they mistook for attacks.

Haven't been on the Bioware forums since NWN2, but only because my CPU can't handle DA.

And that makes it even more sad that these were the general reactions of almost everyone.

"You mean to tell me that the origins mechanic in Origins was specific to Origins? This is not what my imagination tells me I was promised!" I can't stop laughing at that line.

And, to answer the question, the "outrage" reaction is retarded. Just like... well, a LOT of reactions are. I, personally, am looking forward to it. I'm especially looking forward to this "character driven plot" instead of "You need to do these four things to save the world. Now go."

Indeed. I will admit, with DA:O, it may have been nice being able to create your own character down to the finest details, it certainly didn't help when the story went through the same motions no matter if you were a dwarf or an elf. Just like, say, most other fantasy games?

While I agree that condemning the game now is stupid in the extreme, I take issue with this: "You mean to tell me that the origins mechanic in Origins was specific to Origins? This is not what my imagination tells me I was promised!".
People enjoyed the Origins system, there will be no origin system, hence they are unhappy. There's nothing stupid and wanting aspects you like to remain, also turn based combat and dragons were in Origins does that mean expecting them in this game will be unreasonable? No it means you expect them to keep what works and is popular.

People not liking what they hear so far is ok, judging the game on what you've heard so far is stupid, you might as well start a boycott. You know the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover", well this is mostly people judging a book by what a firend told them is going to be on the cover.

I found that link to be hilarious but accurate to what I have heard about the game.

-Yes, I am a little disappointed that there is only one origin story, but that will make the one they have much better.

-So far, I don't agree with the art style, but it is still so early to press judgement.

I have high hopes for this game, but Bioware hasn't let me down so far.

I'll play it regardless of changes. I don't for a moment believe the systems or styles used in Dragon Age are so perfect that a change could only result in dissatisfaction.

Oh well at least Cracked is funny. Something Awful tries to be.

It's all stupid people just saying they are mad when they're just gonna end up buying the game anyway. So I'll just ignore this like i do every big "game outrage" that i hear about.

One orgin, most likely you can change your gender and race, as well as and edit details of your orgin. You last name will probably be Hawke, and my guess is that like Mass effect you can choose to change smaller details of you origin. Honestly though, does it matter? Your origin didn't change much in DAO. Plus, this may mean we can get a voice actor for the main character.

It's a BioWare game. What you expect is the writing to be excellent, not the other stuff. Which is still normally good.

What's wrong with these people!?

As well as the home of hell itself.

Leave Bioware Alone Please!
Leave Bioware alone!right now!I mean it!

(sobs quietly to self)

Yeah, but seriously. People have opinions about the games that they want to play. In other words they are not sheep or other brainless grazing animals who just consume whatever is right in front of them and make pleased animal noises.
