I wanted a sort of hardened warrior mage, loosely based off Cable from MU with the face, hair, name and dog called Graymalkin.

Nathan, Arcane Warrior and Spirit Healer.

Back story is that he was the son of a soldier and a camp follower, his biological father died in fighting and his mother remarried several other soldiers (another one each time they died) and worked as a washerwoman. He had many father figures some dutiful role models and some abusive. He spent a few years trying to be a soldier, but the magic eventually awakened in him in his early twenties (far latter than usual) and was the source of his unnaturally grey hair and blue eyes from a young age.

Even though older than normal initiates, he flourished in the environment of the mages circle that nourished his intellect and abilites.

Currently in his early thirties and neutral good, has fond memories of his mother and is quite open sexually from both his time amongst soldiers and mages, bedding both Morrigan and Zevran before cementing a firm relationship with Leliana.

Wow so one month later I'm going to reply (I was actually looking for my picture I posted for something else).

Okay firstly I know how ridiculously stupid Cable was in the 90's and crap Liefield was, he was like the combination of everything stupid in that era (big guns, pouches, ridiculous muscles, glowing eye, robot arm, looks like a villain, dark past etc). But he was something I grew up reading so I have weird nostalgia for his early comics.

But more importantly I went a long time without reading any more comics. Then about a year ago on the advice of a friend I read all fifty of "Cable & Deadpool", it really pulled me back into comic reading and encouraged me to catch up on the marvel universe. Here was a more mature Cable, the whole manipulative pseudo-messiah with the weight of the world. Plus it was funny, him and Deadpool had great chemistry. So Cable (with a little help from Deadpool) pretty much got me back into comics.

His recent second volume had a rough start, I hated that pseudo photographic look they went with, but fortunately the artist's changed and his role as Papa Wolf to the mutant messiah has been a good read.

What I like about him is a man who will never stop fighting when it's necessary, be it with psychic powers, big guns, futuretech, a knife or his fists.

I too created a city elf called Darrian as a 2 sword wielding fighter... was that a pregenerated name or are we referencing something?

The fact that most of these look like Alistair and Leliana really shows up the lack of variety in the face creator thingy.

Happens in game a lot too, I see a guy who looks just like my warden or one of my party and go 'huh?'

I have the 360 version, so I can't show a pic but...

I have a female City Elf Warrior, her name is Kallian (that was the default name, but I actually really liked it, so I kept it)

She start's off not being a real fan of humans, but as she starts travelling with Alistair and Morrigan and the others, she eventually opens up. The main reason she continues on with the fight is because she knows she has to. She's quick to anger, she's sarcastic and snide and she'll kill a person without a second thought if they try to hurt her or her party.

Everything I want in a women.

Ehh. My first character was... kind of a failure.
I made his eyes really big in a bid to make him look young, you see.
So he kind of had these massive cheekbones.

I restarted and redid him, of course. Only to realise I'd made his nose too small.
Man, I restarted that game so many freaking times.
I didn't complete it until like a month ago.

I am like really lazy.

I actually made a warrior before my mage, his face was way too gaunt, it looked stupid from the side and his neck was as wide as his head.

I got two hours in before I had to start again.

This is my character I had created for my fist play through, he is lacking the duel full weapon skill, but he has every other duel wielding skill, due to starting on the shield set, I didn't switch until a little way into the game, oh yeah, he's a noble warrior.

I was going to kit him out with the dragon armour, but then the Juggernaught is so much better.

I'm starting a new game with a Dalish ranger, starting him on the duel and see how quickly he can get full weapons.

Already played through the game and had a blast... Doing another run to unlock more specializations (think I missed blood mage though) and decided to make things more interesting by giving my character a very, um, specific look.

It's a look-a-like and sound-a-like. I'm playing her as arcane warrior/spirit healer though, and not as a shapeshifter

Nice looking characters, though I personally don't like to make female characters that touched up most of the time. Doesn't really seem that believable for a battle-hardened, natural military leader.

Then again, perhaps not too silly for a mage noble. By the way, link for that mod please? I want to start with a noble background, but really don't like having four warriors (seeing how three was already pretty pointless) and I already did a rogue character (and having three rogues was also a bit pointless).

Yeah, it's not like it constantly bothers me or anything, but I'd like to have option to tweak the appearance afterwards, since you never really get that good picture of how the character will look in action just playing around with the editor.
Still, I'm quite happy with how she looks. Wanted to make her face unique in the first place, after making a generic pretty girl one as a base.

And is it just me, or are faces made with an editor rarely without a quirk or two? (I mean, I have a perfectly good male Shepard, but his cheek bone looks really pointy and weird from a certain perspective)
