At its heart, it was full of the classic David and Goliath story, which I love. It's definitely dated compared to modern anime, but I still love it all the way up to the end of the Cell Saga. Everything after had an unbalanced ratio of good to stupid.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the series as a kid and enjoy DBZ Kai more now that the filler is gone. Then again Kai just seems rushed considering nostalgia says the episodes should be longer.

I loved the original when I watched it as a kid. But I think if I watched it now I would be even more annoyed by all the padding. Thankfully, I have DBZ Kai to watch which combines all the best things about the show.

All that padding is there to give the Manga a chance to keep up with the Anime.

I know why it's there, I just don't like most of it. The actual filler episodes (like the Garlic Junior Arc) I kinda liked, most of the time, it was just the stretching out of regular episodes that I found quite annoying.

So yeah, I found the series boring as hell. I find the Team Four Star's Abridged version to be an improvement in every way.

I love it. Last year I watched every single episode on my computer just cos it's awesome.

I recently acquired the box set of the Dragon Ball manga which I read through. It is really good. I have started watching the Dragon Ball anime which I don't like as much as the manga, but still find very entertaining. I need to get my hands on the DBZ manga now...
