Dragonball Z continuity nightmare

1) Because in the original manga/anime, the creator, Akira Toriyama (and the censors) didn't want Vegeta running around butt-naked, beating people up, after he returned to his normal form. The anime handwaves it in the second season when Vegeta mentions that the armor can expand to 100 times it's size. I can't say I disagree with that decision.mikklee said:

Shounen Anime and Rational thought should not mix, anyway. And the Abridged Series of a Shounen Anime, and Rational thought should be kept FAR FAR away from each other. ;D
Wait wait? From all the plotholes in DBZ you had to choose the basic ones?
The first one is that the armour of Vegeta is suppose to stretch when they turn into Monsters. He explains that in Namek if not wrong.
The second one...I have no idea but I'm going with: he is a kid so the tail just grows back cause he is growing?Also the reason that Vegeta tail never grew back is that Toriyama couldnt be bothered to draw tails.(really.)
Also theres bigger plotholes in DBZ like...How they messed up Goku escaping from Namek. The whole time travel thing with Trunks everything from the death of Cell till the end is just one big plothole.

I have always wondered how Goku was able to fight in these highly popular tournaments with all sorts of powerful opponents in the original series, yet in DBZ, the whole world was shocked when everyone started to fly and kick ass in the tournament against Cell. And they weren't even credited with defeating Cell for some reason, like how the heck does that happen? They are flying around and shooting energy balls at each other.
I dont think the Death of Cell to the End isn't so much a plot hole, as it is Toriyama just giving up. Seriously, the whole Buu saga is bullshit.oliveira8 said:

Honestly, I'm surprised that Toriyama didn't intentionally mangle the continuity like his contemporaries who did Excel Saga. I guess that's what Neko Majin-Z is for.
Is there even really enough of a story in DBZ to give a crap about continuity? The only real plot I've seen in DBZ(since they even seem to forget about the Dragon Balls until things go Tits UP) is this....BadGuy over there, KILL THEY ASS!
Indeed. It is best not to worry about matters like "why does Vegeta keep his armor when he transforms?" (though the answer to that is obvious), or "why does their hair do that when they go Super Saiyan?" It is meant to be watched with an open heart and an empty mind. I can understand that, but how did Hercule (Mr. Satan) get credited for winning the tournament? Didn't he get eliminated with one punch? It was around then DBZ really started dragging, both sides conversating for 3/4 of the show and powering up for the other 1/4, so I might have missed a few episodes.ShredHead said:
