Yes video games are responsible for everything. Next thing you know people will say the mayans predicted the end of the world because the latest sonic game sucks complete ass and people will hop all over it. I mean sonic games suck ass yes but that's not my point

This thread reminded me of a little Discworld quote. "People want olds, not news." (Or something to that tune). People "know" that video games cause violence, and they'd be happier reading about this story with this headline, than the same story with a headline accusing the drink. But all this has been said already, so...
"People know that the world is simple. Solid all the way through. But if you can make them believe, even for a second..."

LOL your post reminded me of that.

Anyway, yeah this was done to help sell papers. As a resident of Texas, I'd like to appologise and mention that I'm glad I live in Dallas.

This sounds like something my mum would do to me if she could except the headline would be "Mum kills daughter for being on videogames instead of doing work!"

Video games always get blamed for problems. Either that or money...

Man, yet again, we are going to associate violence and other bad things to games, even though this isn't really the 'key factor' in this whole tale.

To me, even if they were discussing about who ate the last steak was enough for this guy to pick a gun and shoot the poor teen. I mean, drinking heavily + violent behaviour + gun at home = DANGER, DANGER!!!
