I was totally expecting the ESRB to shoot this one down. I'm glad they didn't (of course, now we still have Fox News to contend with).

As far as possible censorship is concerned, fan-love is too great to let Duke down. But, yes, FOX probably will make stupid remarks to the sexual content.
"My 15 year old got this game, and saw a stripper performing fellatio on Duke. How atrocious of Gearbox!" says someone's mother.

Most of the games I've seen get Banned or Censored in Australlia seem to have been Violent rather than Sexual, so maybe as long as Duke doesn't start making intestine balloon animals, and sticks to throwing aside the mangled Alien stumps, Australlia should be fine with letting Duke urinate, or even empty his bowels on the corpse of a boss. (Provided, of course that the camera doesn't show Duke squatting over a severed limb or something.)

Fantastic. On top of worrying if it would ever actually come out, I also feared that, when it did, it would be too sanitized and defanged. There's no reason a computer game, properly rated, shouldn't be allowed to have the same sort of adult comedy you'd find at the movie theater.

I'm rather surprised anyone is surprised. I figured it would get through with the M, no more, no less.

The funny thing is the ESRB acts like gearbox cares. Obviously they've never honestly looked at a Nukem game, otherwise they'd see this is exactly what The Duke likes and wants. The whole game is based on being a silly sexy violent shooter.
