Been emailing them about that for going on 4 months now. They always respond, if only to thank me for my comments and to let me know that my opinion has been forwarded to the right people.Matt_LRR said:Traditional control option please.

Heaven forbid we have to sit up or *gasp* stand to play our games. Fight through the carpal tunnel and muscle through that first heart attack, skipper. No one's asking you join the marines, just move your arm a little. Or don't buy the game. Since when does Nintendo owe anything to anyone?Macgyvercas said:Only talking about the motion controls, are they John? Did they say anything about options to use a classic controller if the player (like me) thinks motion controls are a waste of time? If not, it's time for me to yell at Nintendo...again.
They need to understand this. If I want to excercise, I'll ride a bike or go running. If I want to sit on my ass and do nothing, I'll play video games. AND I DO NOT WANT THOSE TWO PAST TIMES INTERMINGLING!! /rant
Red Steel 2 says otherwise, considering the controls were designed so you can't "flay arms wildly about in random directions".Xanthious said:In fact I do. Look at the Wii. I can't say how terrible the controls were before motion plus. And even now with motion plus the controls still leave a lot to be desired. The motion control in most games right now boils down to "flay arms wildly about in random directions"John Funk said:Oh please. Do you really think Nintendo would intentionally debut something like that if they weren't confident in it? Nintendo is more savvy than that.Megacherv said:The 1:1 is a lie, watching it now and it's so finicky. It's quite funny really, BUT if the actual release has more streamlined controls, it'll probably be a good game.
EDIT: They're also 'apparently' having inteference from other devices...I don't believe that for a second...
We'll be at the Nintendo booth this week to find out for sure.
That pretty much sums up my feelings as well. I've never really been disappointed by Zelda games in the past and I'm confident this will result in something great. Something I actually find more interesting at the moment than the controls is the new game structure which will divert from the standard do-stuff, get-to-dungeon, get-new-item, defeat-boss-and-get-McGuffin, repeat routine and become less predictable and more Metroid-like.Deofuta said:And for those that say they arnt buying it, its Zelda. If the only way for me to play it was repeatedly slamming my head into a wall-like controller, I'd still buy it.
