I was just joking, but this makes me wonder how we go from floating islands to a regular kingdom on the ground. Seeing as in OoT, the Master Sword is the key to the Sacred Realm where the Triforce was hidden, my guess is we'll be seeing why it was necessary to lock it up?Innegativeion said:Actually, last I heard it was a prequel to EVERY Zelda game, that would feature the tale of the forging of the master sword.Nocta-Aeterna said:OT. I bet this is after the sea in the windwaker eroded away all the landmass and then evaporated into clouds, after which it turns out that all the islands had large helium/hydrogen pockets in ther bedrock. Also: flying & skyidiving: awesome
Ah I see.mjc0961 said:No, not quite.
The antagonists are evil beings that invaded the Wind Fish's dream and turned it into a nightmare so that they can control the world, and Link needs to stop them to save both himself and the Wind Fish from being trapped in the nightmare forever.
Erm, I don't know. I've never seen Mighty MaxArcadianTrance said:Was that a Mighty Max reference? XD
You forgot to add "from a fanboy who thinks James Cameron ripped off Halo."Mr. Omega said:Looks interesting. I find it strange I'm not as hyped for this one, but mostly because the news for it seems to be pretty slow, and it's been overshadowed by the WiiU. I'll probably be more hyped around release time. Also, the whole flying island thing gives me a whole "Skies of Arcadia" vibe. And that is a very good thing.
Also, because this is the Escapist, I'm wonder when there will the first comment of"LOLOL ZELDA SUCKS NINTENDO MILKS THEIR FRANCHISES AND THEY ALL SUCK GIMMICK GIMMICK NINTENDO SUCKS GIMMICK GIMMICK" (but written in a more snarky, condescending manner) will appear...
Why do you say that?mjc0961 said:Which can only be a good thing, because Majora's Mask was one of the worst Zelda titles they ever put out.Jabberwock xeno said:One look at the graphics and I can tell it will be nothing like Majora's mask.
I personally very much enjoyed the sailing in Wind Waker, as the sea-flooded world was the perfect locale to showcase a sandbox in. The traveling was basically one gigantic game of "the floor is lava", and with ghost ships, giant squid, and pirate lookouts along the way it made gameplay sufficiently exciting all while conveying a gigantic world.John Funk said:The trailer shows some free-form flying on the bird (I hope it won't be as mandatory or as dull as Wind Waker's sailing)
Nah, it'll all be a dream inside the windfish...John Funk said:"...includes more of a pretty-boy (presumably-)villain, who will almost certainly serve as the game's chief antagonist before he inevitably gets hijacked by Ganon. It happened with Vaati, it happened with Aghanim, and it happened with Zant - like it won't happen here?"
