I have no idea why 3D is such a polarising(ha...)thing here.
I grant that you have all been to the cinema, but how many of you actually have 3DTV's in your homes? Home 3D is sharper, more detailed, and less nauseating(actually neither bother me anymore)than it's cinema-counterpart.
Motorstorm apocalypse was enough to convince me that gaming can absolutely be enhanced by 3D. I'm hearing great things about Uncharted 3's implimentation, and it's only going to improve with new console hardware.
I don't need anyone to jump on my bandwagon, I don't care. But...like so often with this forum, I feel like I have to post to add just a little bit of balance to the discourse, the baseless know-it-all-ism that is prevailing is astonishing.
The message from EA isn't that the tech sucks, it's that the adoption rate is low...that's all. Consumer popularity doesn't depict what is best either, VHS wasn't better than Beta-max, Starbucks isn't better than the independant places it has replaced, and Tesco sure as hell isn't selling better shit than the bakeries and fruit-&-veg shops that it killed off. In all of those examples cost/convenience was the determining factor, not quality...except for VHS, which won because of...porn?
