I honestly don't know about you, but the lack of a challenge is why I WOULDN'T have played Popcap games as a child. I'm steadily of the opinion that decreasing difficulty is making us, as gamers, soft. Weak. I'm the person who, at the age of five, did a single continue run of Mario Bros on the NES. In all fairness it's all I had. Then I got Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, and even later Wild Guns. I LOVED challenge as a kid. LOVED it.

Then there were the arcades. Ah, man, the arcades. *Flashbacks*

But... There's an abundance of games with literally no consequence for failure, and that's becoming the norm. It's depressing, and made my inner child hang herself.

I'm attending the funeral in a couple of weeks.
