Wow...I feel very sorry for all those women. It's all well and good that they dress up in skimpy outfits for the benefit of a crowd mainly composed of socially inept greaseballs (insert dryly humorous remark here), but being "accidentally" felt up by said greaseballs who are trying to win a prize doing it really is going too far. My faith in EA has dropped even lower, now that they've proven they can't even be trusted outside the world of DRM and screwing over developers and customers.
Also, one has to wonder if Dante Alighieri had any idea how far his intellectual property would be misused when he wrote that poem back in the Middle Ages.

Wouldn't it be interesting if a straight female entered?
Cue fit of giggles.

Seriously, what would EA do if a girl won? Hire male models? Because if they still had the booth babes in the limo it seems like it would be REALLY awkward.

I assume you have to be like 18 or 21 to enter or something.
Imagining a 13 year old male winning: Slack jaw, drooling, confusion - and that is if he hasn't hit puberty yet....

I personally predict an unusually large number of booth babes with sore hands (from all the slapping).

So am I the only one that thought this was clever?

It's sad we live in a country where this sort of humor can't fly because people will 'take it too far'. I'm not entirely sure that is the case I think its more the assumption that people will when really it would end up being one or two assholes out of a few hundred.

EA has lost it's gorram mind.

As a human being, and a female, I am deeply offended by this. Just. Wow.

And to think, I was considering a rental.
Would you have been offended if it was guys? If not I'm deeply offended by you.
One asshole it all it takes.

Also, please stop trying to invalidate Flos' opinion and feeling by turning the point around and centering it on males. I'm sure she would feel just as offended, but that is not the point here. This contest was badly recieved by women who now feel more alienated in the world of gaming and they have every right to.

I've never been particularly fond of EA games or marketing, but this just takes the gold.

Maybe they have to hose them down after each rub?
Yeah, that's feasable.

But seriously, being soaked every ten seconds is a great way to have horrible things happen.
Like mold!
Horrible icky mold!
Great. Now I can't stop thinking about mouldy prostitutes and bursting out laughing.
I can't stop thinking of wet t-shirt comic-con girls now >.>

Well considering there are only two major genders (some variables aside) they only have two real options for this. My question is had it been a group of 'booth babes' and 'booth dudes' would it become acceptable?

Why does woman A feel that actions done by woman B are any of her business. Don't get me wrong if these booth babes felt terrible and didn't want to do it I'd be up in arms against this but it doesn't sound like that was the case.

If people want to be treated equally they need to respond equally to events regardless of gender. The moment you specialize with either you are being biased and are no better than the people you resent.

I also disagree with "one asshole is all it takes". If we follow that flawed logic nobody better leave the house, because someone is going to drive wrecklessy (that's one asshole), someone is going to use a gun at the wrong time (that's one asshole), I bet somebody is going to drink a bunch of run around screaming (again one asshole).

There are something like 6-7 billion people in this world, of them a very very small percentage are assholes. It is extremely unfair to the rest that we build our society to work around that tiny tiny percentage. Hell it's probably a fraction of a percent of a percent.
