Again EA being fucktards.

No change here. Move along people.

Damn, ninjaed. It seems that EA has few fans these days who aren't on the payroll.

I hate to do this but I just can't sum up how annoyed with EA I am without it.

Either keep up your bravdo or accept that'll you never topple Activison without them royally screwing over their fanbase. If you can't sell more then MW 2 did, you have no hope in hell of even denting MW3. And MW 2 had a massive boycott ongoing for christ sake, all you have is a game selling out it's values to try and fight in a battle it won't win. I'm sure this doesn't represent the overall majority, but seeing this happen so soon after BF 3 came out is just stupid.

A pre-emptive talk down before Activision can launch a salvo of hate and face rubbing.

Pretty clever - if Activision launch their own salvo now it will make them look like the indecent ones after EA have been so humble.

Very clever, the general public normally only remember the most recent occurrence and base all opinion upon that.

I am genuinely so happy that this has happened!! EA didn't play fairly with some of the things that they said (they were being cocky bullies), whereas Activision haven't really resorted to EA's petty taunts...
You kidding me?

"Just another PC title"- Bobby Kotick

"Just copying us"- Bobby kotick

(Before someone calls me out I will say this: DICE has been in both the Shooter game and the Modern Warefare game longer than infinity ward. Though the first one could be refuted due to IW's role in Medal of Honor: Allied assault, correct that bit if I'm wrong, but Nonetheless, CoD4 probably has copied a lot more from the battlefield series such as the Progressive unlock system from Battlefield 2142 than BF has From CoD.)

Someone have a fuller list of this guys quotes? Sure, EA can be jerks, but Don't forget: ACTIVISION HAVE BEEN HAVING A PISSING CONTEST WITH EA FOR YEARS.

Also, just because Battlefield didn't outsell CoD doesn't mean its a failure. Sure, they were actively trying to mush it down and even state so, it still EA's most successful release to date. Also, the gameplay is in my opinion, top notch, with more variation and innovation than the Call of Duty series has achieved. It has its Teething problems, sure, but I'm pretty sure around the release of BF2 there was a fuckton of complaints and how "ITS NOT BATTLEFIELD 1942".

In short: While its nice to see EA actually saying something nice for once (I find that EA is the one doing all the trash talking, DICE are just trying to actually, ya know, MAKE A STABLE GAME, though listening to the community has been a bit here and there...), they shouldn't have said this, because messages like this can be misinterpreted as "WE LOST! waaaahh" And personally I can't bear to see CoD fucktards (as opposed to CoD fanboys who actually know what they are talking about) thinking they've won because their game sold more, when sales, as DICE have said, are rarely indicative of a games quality.

Lol, still not buying BF3 because a) it's on origin b) EA aren't gettin any more of my money and c) it's got nothing new to offer. I'm willing to bet that sales of BF3 have been lacklustre and EA are being their normally retarded selves about trying to mitigate damage.
Well it managed to sell 5 million first week. Sure, not exactly ground breaking, but at least its pushing EA records.

Also, I find it more of a compilation of All that Dice have learned with the frostbite engine, with the readdition of fixed wing aircraft, and a few other nice interesting (But can be OP) features. I admit, I am a massive battlefield fanboy (hell, BF2 is the game that got me into, well, gaming, PC gaming especially), but if you want to see series stagnation, take a closer look at CoD.

Oh, sorry, what was that?

nothing but a PR stunt. obviously.

Sid notice: there is a crack out that allow ONLY LEGAL PURCHASED COPIES to connect without Origin. internet 1, EA 0

let them bicker i say. then they will both get curb stopped in june when dust524 coems out
I doubt it. while among eve players dust is very popular subject, people out of this circle seems to not even know what the hell im talking about. its not going to be record breaking. especially seeing how ccp cut its staff in haff and pretty much shafted WOD for storage.

This has got to be response to the rediculous amount of hate that BF3's single player has taken.

Hate Call of Duty all you like, and short or not, the SP is always fun.
The BF3 Single Player was just downright awful and I think EA have finally seen that the trash talking isn't good when your shit isn't superior anymore!

Still, BF3's Multiplayer is second to NONE!

Imagine if EA's DICE and Activision's IW joined to make the ultimate cash cow FPS? The world as we know it would cease to exist.

Fuck right off EA ;)

I've had to listen to the Shit of your Fans and your own for Months now. Know that I will be there to point and laugh at you, exclaiming ''I told you so'' when MW3 comes out and dwarfs your sales. Too late to pussy out now, you take on the champ, you get the beating.
This is how I see it - EA have been talking shit about MW3 because they thought they'd have the bigger game. They saw 5 million in it's first week and that's awesome for them, really. But Activision sees that and they pat EA on the head and say "that's really cute, now watch this".

I say 9.5 million day one, 12 million by the end of the first week, 21 million by end of year.

Acti knows this, EA knows this, and now they want to pretend they weren't running their mouth the last six months.

I don't hate Battlefield, I hate EA's marketing department.

What is it with companies who make good games acting like total douchebags about everything?
Yea, it seems like game companies are being more childish than the fanboys they cater to.
They might have made more sales with this game if the most marketable part of it wasn't locked under a $10 "pass" code. I played through the campaign over a couple of days and sent it right back to gamefly. If I had gotten into the online portion, I may have bought it.

They're just screwing themselves over so I can't feel too sorry for them.

I love how in both your posts you seem to confuse "incoherence" with "the ability to make a point that people will listen to". repeatedly.

AMD? How's that new bulldozer going for you? Failing every single benchmark? Against their own hardware? lol, fanboy.

ATI, not AMD. For processors I'm an intel fanboy.
