*cough*54.2%*cough*

Let's not turn this into a fucking console war thread.

EDIT: And yes, I know, hypocracy. But I'm saying nothing more on the subject.

Well I think you already screwed yourself over if you bought a ps3 in the first place. There is a reason why the 3D0 didn't do well.

Except you just did. and that's the problem here. Clearly somebody can't possibly be against Sony without being for Microsoft or Nintendo in your book. Of course, I am again not surprised.

You have a point. Sorry.

Um... What...

Reguardless of what EA may or may not have done... Microsoft has all of these features and all of those dreaded EA titles, so blame Sony for not having the insight to figure these things out before they released a console. Sony would just like to blame EA for thier shortcomings.

Not meaning to be flamey, but if you are going to point fingers, point them at the right people.

EA= Electronic Arts

The title of company explains they don't know jack shit about video games. Video games aren't "art" they are "interaction". And games don't have to be "electronic" they can be board based or pen/paper stuff. EA has no roots in true entertainment it is in their ignorant primitive nature, why would you dare expect more? They chose that definition for themself.

Video games are not something you hang on your wall and never touch again. EA are just trying to exploit some sort of collective nature. Games such as those you hang on walls attract game hopping trophy whores that devolve the intricacy of video games prefering clear "wins" and no stories or literature no skills nothing but winning. They aren't gamers they're parasites corrupting the gaming population, noobs whom don't know their place and whom have recently been connected to the online world through their next generation console.

Seriously why stores continue to sell EA's shit is beyond my reasoning, same damn products year after year with the same reused low quality crap. I propose we define all shitless games as "electronic art" just for giggles lol. In otherwords meaning "video crap not meant for playing" just hang it in the art gallery with rest of the primitives and failures of past times, let it be a learning experience for what not to do.

I was looking forward to that game warhammer online for long while then last second EA snatched them up with their ill gotten gains and plundered their already spent commercial promotions. Didn't waste a second of my time to try that game friend did and he kept whining it was shit along with the reviews I read.

Im not gonna read all that I'm too lazy but EA screws everyone over by making shit games.

Edit: Army of Two and Dead Space were good ideas but got WAY too boring.
Get lost, if you aren't even going to read the topic, you have no purpose in posting mindless giberish shit.

We've reached the breaking point: Sony fanboys so incromprehensibly stupid that they blame other companies for Sony's fuckups. Bravo.
Atleast Sony realised these fuck ups and are trying to correct them. But EA won't let them.

Not surprising really I would imagine that you have to code the application in a way that would respect the thread/process that would handle the audio input/output. It is quite plausible that unless you had such things in the system from the beginning it could cause problems for software that has been coded in a way that cause it to have problems.

And furthermore I am again unsurprised that the so-called most powerful console crashes when it tries to handle anything more complicated than being a movie downloading machine, but again that's not Sony's fault, it's everyone else's for not being able to code for it. Surely.
Why make such an ignorant statement? Guess what if you write software in certain ways bad things can happen to a system regardless of how powerful the system is. It's easy to write code that can just posses all the system resources and bring machine far more powerful than a PS3 to their knees. (Especially if you have to manage memory manually.)

KSarty: The PS3 would need a way to manage the incoming and out going sound. To do that they probably need a sound managing system of some sort. It is possible that they did not actually have this originally and tried to add it later hence the "problem" assuming Super Secret is correct. Basically if the applications (games.) are not coded in a way that plays nicely with the sound subsystem you get breakage.

I have a simple solution for those of us with a 360 and a ps3. Use the 360 chat system whilst playing the ps3 games :p Of course, EA and sony are a pair of bastards for not putting chat in there in the first place

Big wall of text, but it does have an important message. EA are screwing the video game market!

Seriously, We knew that. Just another crime to add to EA's list. Least the bloke has the decency to not blame Microsoft.

Oh and did he have to skirt around the message? This'll sound stupid, but is he not able to directly point the finger of blame at EA without facing punishment?

Look at Trophy's, pretty much a mess imo. Should of just left them out like Nintendo.
I'll admit that much. I don't really see the point of Trophies and Achievements.
Yeah I dont mind the 360 Achievements system, but Trophys is just tacked on the end and only forced on developers to use them at the beginning of the year. If something like that wasnt there at the start then theres no point really. Trophys are pretty horrible to navigate and compare with friends.

But this rant is for another topic :p
