Bring back C&C Generals. That's all I ask.

[sub]and while you're add it, cut the stereotypical voice acting and add squad based combat.[/sub]

How much of the original developers are still on this game? Didn't some of them leave and form a new studio to make an MMO...

Ugh.... PLEASE don't let this turn into another Tiberium Twilight or Red Alert 3...

some how, I still liked C&C 3 Tiberium Wars though,... why does everyone keep trashing it?

oh, and Generals 2 PLEASE!!! (Ditch the C&C 4 / RA 3 engine though...)
I get Tiberium Twilight but what was wrong with Red Alert 3? I really enjoyed it , ok the story could have been better but still the game was very solid and nice light change of pace after all the seriousness of C&C3 (yes that game was amazing, I don't know how anyone could trash it).

Some went and formed Petroglyph, who specialise in strategy games (Board & Video) and who are making two MMOs (I think).

I really didnt like RA3 because of several things. (Not in any particular order)

1) Story Sucked
2) I hated the look of the graphics (Tooney, and you needed a fast computer to make the game look decent)
3) Economy system (don't know why,but this really bugged me)
4) Support powers were much MUCH better done in Generals and C&C 3
5) I thought the combat was far less interesting/engaging...
6) It was silly (Ok, Ok, thats not always a bad thing, but I kind of like it when i can take a conflict/war seriously... I just didn't find that possible with bear Calvary charging around)

no matter how much I disliked RA3 though, it will never be worse than the complete peice o shit that tib twilight was.

I guess I'm just a little less critical when judging games, I actually enjoyed C&C 4's gameplay but no one can honestly say the story wasn't complete garbage (here's someone who is apparently your wife and...oh she's dead). Red Alert 3 was fun for me but C&C 3 is still king in my book, I think we can agree nothing was quite as satisfing as dropping the hammer on someone with mass Mammoths or a swarm of Venoms. I have to agree with you though that the graphics of RA3 were terrible and horribly optimized, my system ran C&C 3 on high no problems but god forbid I play RA3 on medium without terrible lag.

Ehh.... I thought the C&C francise was done. Can't they just leave it alone and try to create some new, more interesting idea? Making more games in that franchise just seems... ehh... why would they do this? >_>

I'm just happy to see more strategy games, honestly. And the C&C games always had my favourite systems and mechanics. Starcraft is fun for me, but I always found they were too micro-oriented and could never have as much fun with their universe. And Supreme Commander I didn't have any fun with at all.

And to be honest with you, I can't think of many other good real-time strategy games worth checking out. Like I said, I'm just happy at the idea that more C&C games will be released.

The Tiberium series is done, but that doesn't mean they can't make more games similar in gameplay mechanics to other games. Generals and all the games in the Red Alert series seem to be almost completely independent games like the Final Fantasy series.

Red alert 3 was good but the graphics were quite cartoonish for my liking and the protocals were helpful if not annoying when the Ai can always see what your up to even when clicking them and multiplayer always had people spamming just to win so in short if its another Red alert:

1. no more protocals please i've had enough balancing of them just to make them work when they never did in the first place.

2. don't just make each faction only good at one aspect as the empire were both great at naval and air combat when it was the allies who were supposed to be gods of the air along with soviets having better base defences and most of their units were tough as nails.

3. for the love of all things rts please create a better economy system and don't try to make it as simple as you did Red alert 3 because having silly ore refs that wnt forwards and backwards on a turntable was really silly and if you didn't have more than two refs on the map you pretty much lose online.

4. Make the units a little less silly and make them more believable instead and at least give them 3 unique actions to perform so it makes it more tactical.

5. Make the MCv not as important as past C&C games because if i lose my MCV thats 5000 creds of loss for me to get a new one with the fact you needed an MCV to build most buildings and be able to use protocals which made it too valuable when SC2 you could easily build a new one cheaply with your workers where as in C&C you lose your war factory, MCV, naval yard thats it its over.

6. And finally please EA take your time with developing the game itself and actually listen to the fans and not those who cry "its way too imba! nerf it to hell" and also think before making an expansion to the new game instead of keeping new unit ideas and them bundling them into a worthless expansion just to get more money.

The forumla in the old days was good don't just try changing it just to get more money in your pockets EA.
