What the hell are you talking about? That scene in King Kong was downright EPIC. The ant scene from the Crystal Skull was pretty gnarly though.
Nnnno. They are utterly pointless and disgusting. The one in King Kong had me nauseous and thoroughly grossed out. Thanks for reminding me. x) I suppose it is a common element because they want to add the bizarre feeling it purveys to the movie. I can see why they would want that, but I wish they would abstain. I don't want my action or adventure movies to be bizarre or gross.Erana said:So, how do you feel about these scenes? Are they a wonderful new addition to the Action genre? Have I missed a movie with a well made eaten-by-bugs scene that all of these movies are copying?
The Mummy made that scene hilariously gruesome...the director did a good job.Vlane said:I liked the scene in The Mummy were this guy gets eaten by those bugs (I know they are some sort of scarabs).
I don't really like those scenes but they are enjoyable sometimes.
Agreed completely. Any UK Escapists here who watch Primeval on Saturdays on ITV1? Did any of you see the episode two weeks ago where they went through the future anomaly? Those bugs were horrible, especially the giant maggots. It took me about three hours to watch it on ITV Player on the website (partly because I had the dinner cooking as well, partly because I kept leaving the room to recover during every commercial break).s0ap sudz said:Oh man, that scene from King Kong scarred me for life. I'm one of those people that hates bugs, so giant ones scare the crap out of me. *shudders*
