Okay, we don't have to. Just think about what sort of legal safeguards there are preventing a company from engaging in mass manipulation, censorship, and propaganda pushing one political party over another, and think about what sort of damage that could do.

If you find it difficult to imagine, just think about what would happen if, say, China or Russia were in control of all of these companies.
Didn't Twitter have it as official policy that Trump and his family could break as many rules on their platform as they wanted? They did, didn't they? Which means all the conservative whining of Twitter allegedly being out to get Trump is just silly, undignified and extremely ungrateful.

Twitter even made it a point to go after people wishing death on Trump after he got Corona, despite them never having lifted a finger when Trump send his base after his opponents.

Doesn't seem like it, since there's been of a bunch of "this claim is disputed, our election is so safe and secure, trust the experts and don't listen to this fake news!"

But you tell me.

Even if it's true that one person got special treatment, it doesn't mean that all republicans got the same special treatement.

If Russia were in control of those companies, I expect we'd be seeing a lot more red crosses under the Republican column, and a lot more green ticks under the Dems, at least for Trump's tenure.

(Sort of) kidding aside, I've long been in favour of some form of press regulation, at the very least to prevent outright falsehood or defamation. Here in the UK we have a press regulator with zero legal power, which media companies can simply opt out of. There's even heavy media presence within the organisation. It's scarcely more than a rubber-stamp.

There's the big trick. Just hide whatever crime you're doing behind minorities, so when people try to prosecute the crime, just blame them of racism.

So in 2024, when republicans commit fraud in counties with high minority populations, I hope I don't see any complaints.

Those noticeably started showing up after Trump lost the election. He pretty much had four years of free reign. Also its worth noting that a message with ''this claim is being disputed'' doesn't do anything. It doesn't penalize Trump's account nor blocks the tweets from being viewed. And its even fairly diplomatic of twitter to say those claims are disputed since by and large they aren't. Anyone with even a sliver of credibility agrees that Trump is spouting nonsense.

You won't. You'll see arrests. Because believe it or not, the US system is really good at catching voter fraud.

Maybe it would be great if Lefties get the special treatment Republicans do. Then we can talk about everyone getting the special treatment Trump has

It'd be harder to accuse the Trump legal team of inconsistency or self-serving if they weren't solely challenging the rules in counties they lost, and not challenging the exact same rules in counties that they won (in both 2016 and 2020).

He'll never believe it because his guy lost thing time, and the trauma and shock was so severe, so mind breaking and time warping, he and millions like him had to make up stories of pizza vans and zombie voters.

Like I said, "Even if it's true that one person got special treatment, it doesn't mean that all republicans got the same special treatment."
So you're just deflecting from the true issue and the real question of " Just think about what sort of legal safeguards there are preventing a company from engaging in mass manipulation, censorship, and propaganda pushing one political party over another, and think about what sort of damage that could do. "

You won't. You'll see arrests. Because believe it or not, the US system is really good at catching voter fraud.
So how many FBI agents are investigating all those ballots pulled out from under tables and counted with no oversight?

Maybe it would be great if Lefties get the special treatment Republicans do. Then we can talk about everyone getting the special treatment Trump has
"Mainstream media investigates itself and finds itself innocent".

It'd be harder to accuse the Trump legal team of inconsistency or self-serving if they weren't solely challenging the rules in counties they lost
Which means it's easier to cover up voter fraud by conducting it in areas where you use voter fraud to win, because then you can call the people who object sore losers! And also racists if it happens to be in a place with a large percentage of minorities!

Yeah, that's what I said earlier.

Probably - ney, hopefully none considering the fact that it was a moronic fake news story with manipulated facts and lies that was debunked in a day.

Either that, or-- to apply Occam's Razor-- he's a sore loser.

You need to learn the axiom of 'Hope into one hand, shit into the other and see which fills up first'. Hope doesn't accomplish a damn thing. You want to make an impact? Fuck off from vomiting Twitter onto this forum and go be a scrutineer. Get yourself involved in the next local election instead if hanging around here screaming like a toddler being told he's not getting desert.

So, because the media said it was okay, it's okay?
The media commands the FBI now?

Get yourself involved in the next local election
1) That's not going to fix the problems with THIS election
2) We have witnesses saying that republicans were bullied out and escorted from the premises, sometimes in handcuffs. Do you want polling places to become mosh pits and gang brawls? Because that's what will happen if you simply throw more bodies into the fray instead of fixing the problems that allow this sort of bullying to occur.

And that's what I fully expect to happen next election. Republicans will be listening to all this testimony and they'll show up in force, fully expecting resistance as they carry out their official duties in the polling places, and then fistfights will happen.
