Electronics Arts Says No More Star Wars Movie Games

So let me get this straight, EA announced a sequel to Battelfront, gave that sequel to developers who have a proven track record with shooters and really wanted it and now they say they don't do cash grab tie in games with the movies. Either EA deserves more credit than I would have given them or the Star Wars game license was snapped up with another company and the Escapist has been replacing their name with the word "EA" in any relevant news articles to screw with us, lol.

Now, go make a straight up space combat game. Remake the entire X-wing and TIE fighter series and release it on consoles. Or, make a new Star Wars space combat game. Seriously, someone PLEASE make one of those games. I miss flying an X-wing...

the only specific movie game that i can remember actually being good was robocop 3. which was released way before the shitty movie purely because ocean was sick of people saying " movie games are always shit and rely on the movie marketing to sell them". in the end it was actually way better than the movie and one of the first fps games i ever played

Well the actual game sucked hard, but the web slinging around New York was legendary.

But the general rule is that Videogames based off movies are all crap, even Prince of Persia managed to mess it up!

The Two Towers and The Return of The King video games were pretty good I thought.

Hopefully this means that Dice will make a sequel to Republic Commando. Would love to hunt Jedi down as a clone squad and have to eliminate them.
