The final boss from Heavenly Sword. The whole game taught you to see the color of an enemy attack and block it accordingly, but this fucker has giant smoke rings that obscured his attack color, requiring guess work, or saying fuck this and looking up the plot on Wikipedia.
Ugh, thanks for reminding me. I quit that game in a blinding rage more times than I care to count thanks to that bastard. And then the ending wasn't that good anyway.

Still though, my answer would have to be the end boss in Beyond Good and Evil. Everything's going so well, and then he reverses the controls on you and starts teleporting all over the place, whacking you from every conceivable angle. Imagine a sequence of quick time events, only every time the button prompt comes up, you have to hit the one across from it ( hit triangle when x comes up, hit square when circle comes up) and you've got a pretty good idea of how it plays out.

It's been a looong time since i played a game where the last boss was really hard so my example is from Splater House SD for the nes (look it up) the last boss is flying pumpkin thing that you can only hit when he tries to swoop down at you and i kid you not, it takes like 80 hits to kill the damn thing. i was fighting it for 20mins (closer to 40min if you count dying) straight before i finally beat it.

Supreme Hunter Boss from Prototype on hard i just cant beat him ive tried everything i threw every jet plane heli human on that dam boat and he still has a whole life bar and i don't have a critical pain devastator so its near impossible and i have no earlier saves to go to sorry if i ruined it for you.
Desperation move but, try using the Hammerfist, Musclemass or Blade skills to hit and run. Try big damage moves and then run. Not a lot more you can do at that point. Critical pain is almost mandatory for that boss though.

Not difficult per say, but the final boss from Xenosaga episode three takes about an hour and a half to fight at level fifty. Add to that a move that wipes out all stat bonuses on yourself and heals himself for about 3500 health. He also starts with about 70,000 HP.

I never liked Darth Traya from KOTOR 2. Always had difficulty fighting those three damn lightsabers.

the last boss has 4 forms, each a tough boss in their own regard. you can use all 6 people, but if you drop below 3, game over, and chances are you only have 3 well trained

Yeah it took a an hour or so on insane. Much relief when he was dead...
theres a 2 player glitch were one player sticks to cover in front of him with a shotgun, and the other stays back with a torgue bow
p1 will probably go down, but 2 will kill him

The boss that pissed me off to no end was Jinpachi, the final boss of Tekken 5.

He could do that fireball, where he just teleported back a few steps in an instant, repelled you if you were close, stunned you and then threw out a fireball as big as yourself that killed you in one hit.

His damn third form always kills you, even at level 100.

By some fluke of luck I finally managed to beat him

He isn't the hardest final boss I have faced, but Ballos from Cave Story is pretty much from Hell considering that is what the dungeon is called.

The bosses of Ninja Gaiden 2, I wanna be The Guy, and the second to last boss in Final Fantasy 13 all pissed me off.

On Insanity that guy was nigh impossible to beat by yourself. He can absorb every shot from your sniper to the head and still have health to spare, the Kryll never seem to want to leave his body and as soon as you leave cover to get away from his approach he kills you. It doesn't help that Dom has a severe case of mental retardation and kills himself in a few seconds every time. I hate that fucker and I spit on his corpse.

Compared to Gears of War 2 where the last boss can't kill you. Theres that over guy but he was pretty easy as well.

If you are referring to his lvl100 form, then he's not that difficult. I actually found that he hit the perfect balanced of fun and difficulty when it came to bosses; especially fighting game bosses. Although there are times when he likes to bullshit you with Shinryuu.

Now lvl 130-150 Chaos is a WHOLE LOT different. He will fuck you up in a single hit if you're not careful, and he loves to spam divine punishment. He's a total nightmare and will just bullshit hi way to victory on those levels. Fucker always casts divine punishment on me just as I have an opening to attack....

were you at lvl 100? I have heard she gets retarded hard if you hit max level but with Squall Rinoa and Zell (I think) on 99 with metric fucktons of all the best junction spells I made her and Cerberus into my little emo bitches first try, but that is because I have the patience of a saint and will literally draw for an hour to get all the best junctions!

OT: i struggled with RAAM but beyond that I have an alarming tendency to not finish games so not all that many I can think of

Jinpachi from Tekken 5. Fast unblockable and stunning attacks, as well as a life draining attack. BRUTAL. Plus if you gave you gave up, they guilted you by showing you a clip saying Jinpachi has destroyed the world and it's all your fault haha. They had to tone him down in Dark Resurrection cuz he kicked too much ass.

I mean his level 130 form at the end of the final final story I forget what it's called.

For Divine Punishment though, Hell yes.

You have to dodge at basically the perfect moment. But here's a trick. If he catches you in those little swords and is about to hit you with the big one, Go into EX mode. You block the attack

Dude....that ain't 130, that's 110. level 130-150 fights can only be done in the black jack course in duel Colosseum. So I'm guessing you are referring to the shade impulse story mode, he's pretty tough yea, but fuck if you are suffering with that then wait till you fight level 120-150 enemies in duel Colosseum.

You need not tutor me on game strategies (logged 600 hours of play time), and EX guarding that attack is really really risky and stupid. It's not difficult to dodge, it's just when I fight him, sometimes he pretty much spams the attack over and over and so your nerves get the better of you.
