Always 28/10/80, as apposed to 28/10/93. I'm sick of sites not allowing me to view videos concerning games I'm going to buy regardless. As if in a year I'll suddenly have achieved emotinal maturity.

I don't believe that this is a crime with any victim, or even a crime at all.

Game trailers such as the mass effect 2 ones that require you to be 18 or older to look at.

I never got that, I've been exposed to violence, blood, gore, alcohol, etc. in T rated games, but as soon as, ohh mah gawd, slightly sexual video game themes are involved I'm suddenly too young to see these "outrageous" videos???

I don't lie about my age very often, only for certain things that I feel are completely inane, and, to be blunt, stupid.

Even then, those laws don't govern the Internet. They govern store clerks and the magazines themselves.
Mmm. Because the internet is exempt, right?

'What's that? I can't purchase this from you? Okay, I'll just go to your online store and purchase it.'
Pretty much. Why is that the case? Because the Internet is a multi-national thing. What is illegal in the US is legal in Scandinavia. If the United States wishes to break that, then they need to issue a law, similar to the one Great Britain just passed. Until they do, it is perfectly legal.

Also, consider this, by ESRB rating style, I can purchase the game Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. But in order to view the trailer for it, I need to be 18. In short, it is legal(Technically, its not even illegal to begin with. Its just against store policy in most places) for me to buy the content the Trailer is showcasing, but I cannot view the trailer itself? And therefore moving my age up a month would be illegal how?

Trick question, the answer is, its not. Is it dishonest? Ya, a bit, but honesty isn't exactly a big thing in the world.

I always enter a much higher age than my real one, and say "This is how old I am. Yeah, I'm Methusalem."

I'm old enough to watch anything but being the lazy person that I am I never put my real age. Just randomly select a date.

I just enter a valid date of birth as quickly as I can.

If there is no way to check it, why bother entering your real date of birth. I only do that if it's an official document or when I sign up on forums, communities etc.

I'm of age, but I can't remember the last time I put my real birthday into an age gate. It just does a quick calculation with no consequences, so I don't see a need to be specific.

I usually enter my real age, I'm 22, so there's no reason to lie. (Even if it's annoying to have to scroll all the way down to December) The only thing I ever remember having to enter my age to watch, though, was the Unskipable episode about Dante's Inferno. I don't really go onto any shady sites.
Note: This isn't out of moral superiority (I have a vice, chocolate chip cookies), more just because I have no desire to visit any of those sites. Also, my long running paranoia over people checking my browser history.

Normally I just enter random/random/random because I can't be arsed digging through 1900-2010 to find my birth year. I'm over whatever age they want anyway.

I always enter January 1st and then some random year that's before 1990. I just can't be arsed to enter my real age, that would take me seconds!

That is a lie

OT: Youtube is the worst. You can't lie and watch marked videos without making an account. So you have to lie, make an account and then watch, semi-softcore, porn! So much WORK! /sarcasm
