Environments that made you shed a tear

I have never cried due to a video game. Or any environment that it contains. There are some rather pretty ones, such as everything in Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie.

And I mean only those two, as they are the only two Banjo Kazooie games to exist.

 

[Midnight Crossroads]

FF9 had some of the best environments I've ever seen. Bermucia, Lindblum, and Memoria were all extremely beautiful places.

Homeworld 2 had beautiful scenery. Which is amazing as the game was set in space.

WoW of course. One of the most appealing parts of WoW is just how gorgeous its environments were. Some, such as Desolace or Stonetalon Peak were boring, but most such as Azshara, Ashenvale, Felwood, Stranglethorn, the Plaguelands, and Silverpine were all extremely beautiful. Ironforge and Silvermoon were both intimidating cities that really showed off wealth and power, and Stormwind had lots of little nooks and crannies to explore.
