Mine is from Nazi Zombies on Nacht der Untoten. My friend and I were playing ad were on the second floor of the house. We both had BAR's and were trying to hold them off at the stairs in the back room. I went to the other stairs and pressed my back up against the sofa so nothing would sneak up on me. Thing is, the game glitched and I got stuck. I could do everything except walk. My friend tried to get me out but he died. I was forced to stay where I was. Mind you there was a window right next to me, but I fought them off for a good while with my rifle and my knife. They simply could not get me, until a particularly large wave rushed me and I died.

Empire Total War 2. I'm defending a fort from the Americans and I was totally outnumbered from the start. I had a few regiments of line infantry and citizens while the Americans had artillary, cavalry, infantry etc.
After sacrificing my flintlock armed citizens on the walls to slow up the Yanks, their infantry and cavalry came pouring in through the gates. All I had was 5 regiments of line infantry. I got them to form squares in the centre of the fort as that was the most effective way of beating back the cavalry and surrounding infantry. They held on for half an hour, the squares getting smaller and smaller untill they were crushed by a last ditch cavalry charge from the Yanks.

Even though I lost, it was absolutley epic

Medieval Total War (the first one). I had control over Rome and the papacy attacked with one of those huge ass armies that they get every few turns, I also had a huge army but i never had to call for reinforcements because my Byzantine Infantry sitting on a hill fought off the entire army without the loss of a single unit. Hell even my measly one man unit survived.

Supreme Commander. My naval fleet and supporting aircraft engaged the opposing combined of 3 player fleets to hold off the attack which was going to hit my ally. He managed to retreat most of his army and airforce away from the attack but i lost everything but one sub. It was a good 1 hour battle and i sent them reeling. Though i still didn't recover for about an hour.

We won afterwards because my allies hit them right after my attack so they had no airforce or navy to defend themselves. Their army was trapped on the island where i destroyed their aiforce and navy.

Left 4 Dead 2. We finished off Dark Carnival while trying to get Guardin' Gnome on Expert. The hoard was insane and getting that damn gnome into the helicopter was one of the hardest things I've ever done in gaming.

If you want to know an epic last stand where we all ended up dying in the end, then we'll have to go back to L4D2. We only had one more gas can to put in the car before we were done with the level when out of nowhere one of craziest hoards I've ever seen came right at us. Long story short, we got that final can right next to the car before a Smoker constricted me and a Hunter started to pummel my last teammate.

Sadness.

I've got one from Nazi Zombies on the Shi No Numa level. There were four of us on online mode in the hut in the swamp (forget the name of the hut). Two of us had the doors, whilst the other two tried to keep them from getting in through the windows. One by one, we got overwhelmed. Me & one of the others got backed into a corner. We held on for a while, but I got taken out. The last remaining guy took out a Bouncing Betty and set it just before he get killed. The explosion took out nearly all the remaining zombies.
The most epic case of 'I'm taking you all with me!' I've seen in a game.

Inquisition Daemonhunt mod for Dark Crusade.
Expert Skirmish AI on a huge map, I took on their army head on as they attempted to invade my base, I was fighting the Chaos Marines, their army consisted of about 8 platoons of Chaos Space Marines, god knows how many walkers and about 3 squads of those big ass soldiers who's names I can't remember.

My army amounted to one Grey Knight Terminator squad, my Grey Knight hero, four or five squads of regular Grey Knights and a Land Raider.
All my squads were reinforced to the max and upgraded with psy-bolters and meltguns, my hero linked to my Terminator squad, my Knights stood in a perfect line against the Chaos forces with that sense of unwavering dedication, faith and badassery that makes the Knights so awesome, forward they charged, taking down wave after wave of Chaos Marines as I frantically attempted to reinforce them as they fell in battle.

20 or so minutes later, the battle still continues, my resources nearly depleted with all the reinforcing I'd been doing, my Land Radier had been all but wiped out, my hero was almost dead, I had three terminators left out of my initial squad and two squads of regular Knights with their Justicars alive. Just.

Final wave of Chaos Marines trots along and I don't think I'm going to make it, last ditch effort as my base had been all but obliterated and my knights + raider just gun down everything in sight with such little effort, due to the fact that they'd hit Veteran status by that point for taking down so many enemies beforehand.

The remainder of my forces then went on to mop up the Chaos base, as the AI had expended all its resources on that mass battle, cleared it all up with little resistance.

Final tally? Grey Knights left standing: 11. Chaos Space Marines: 0.

Long live the fucking Inquisition.

Risk. I was playing against two friends, and one friend put everything they had onto Australia, the other held North America, South America and Africa, and I held Asia. The one friend made a push into Asia from the East, so I made a pact with him to hold off for a while so I could save my troops and make a massive push into Australia. With only two-thirds of Australia's forces I managed to take it while only losing a quarter of my military, and then held steady as the remaining friend pushed down in one massive battle to eliminate me. I managed to take down half of his force with one-third of what he had before I was eliminated.
Simply put, it was glorious.

Empires Mod, I was the commander. We got off to a bad start because our original commander did a very poor job and left in the middle, leaving us without one for quite a while; leaving us with no research going on, and the enemy overtook us quite a lot on the tech tree.

It turned into a battle of attrition; when I got into the command vehicle, I immediately prioritised for researching powerful turrets to try and hold them back, and asked most of the team to go Engineer to keep things running, build walls to keep them away from our buildings and funnel them into the turret fire. Good thing, too; it didn't take long for them to take out all but one of our refineries, and towards the end, that went down as well. The battle went on for ages; I have no idea how we survived so long; and we were winning on tickets, too. We could have won, if the enemy were not slowly pushing our defences back. I don't know how long we were holding back for; it was a long time, though.

Then, just when things seemed lost; the victory screen. One of our team had managed to sneak past the enemy get into their base (which was poorly defended as they were ALL trying to focus on hammering at us, leaving their commander unguarded) and that person destroyed their command vehicle. Our entire team burst into cheering and laughter, and numerous "Whoever did that deserves a medal!" from myself and a few other team-mates.

I had managed to get our team the research necessary to survive (We were so far behind because of the idiot commander before that we had no chance of winning if we went on the offensive), the team did an excellent job of keeping the defences up and each other alive, and that ninja succeeded right at the end when defeat was drawing uncomfortably close.

Not to mention the enemy team made a grave mistake; they kept charging forward with tanks, and never researched artillery that could have been used to blow our base apart from over the walls.

Research had failed us completely, especially when our resource flow ground to a halt and it was all up to all the people on foot, but in the end the tactical situation was so far in our favour that it was just embarrassing; and they were so focused on us they missed the single team member slip past them and seize victory from the jaws of defeat for all of us.

A perfect example of "A commander is only as good as the people who he commands"; the team was brilliant, and they tolerated and worked well with me despite the fact that I had little experience being the commander and usually didn't do such a great job. They were all fantastic... I want to play Empires again now; the people who play are actually mostly pretty good people.

It was a good, good day.

...That gush was a very uncharacteristic of me.

I was on one side of the bridge in The Parish, where as my team was at the begining, I had a deagle, and I must have killed surplus 50 common infected, 2 smokers, 1 hunter, 1 spitter, and a charger that came towards me.

My final moment was agroing the tank away from my team and towards me as they finnally got to where I was.

They made it alive, and I was Ranked MVP :D
