All of these Total War ones warm my heart. That truly is a brilliant series of games.
My contributions:
Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms Expansion: I was playing the Crusades campaign, and I held Jerusalm. I only needed a few more turns of holding it to win; unfortunatley, my enemies (Byzantium & Turkey) had sent fleets of full-strength armies at it. My main bulk of my army was spent up defeating the Egyptians, and on top of that two full armies of Mongol forces were closing down on it. With only a half-strength army, I managed to fend off the armies until victory.

Warcraft 3's final mission, on the hardest difficulty. 'Nuff said?

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident: I can't remember fully which mission (hardest difficulty) it was, but I recall all of my fleet except the Angelwing had been destroyed. I managed to defeat the enemy fleet of about 6 ships with my lone one.

That was quite an awesome tale indeed, and these were other actual players you were playing against yeah?
Yep. I was playing with fifteen friends and developers, against sixteen friends and developers. We thrashed them that game, although it took a while. Respawns are limited, and used in your current Base Camp, so all of the men we killed spawned in Manor House, a big defensive mansion.

Only thing is, because the island is so large and all, we can't ever finish a match. Longest we played for was four hours and in that time we got pushed back into the castle, but then they pulled a MW2 and called in a small fleet of Helicopters, Gunships and a Destroyer to bomb the (entirely destructible) castle to bits. Most of us died of falling rubble.

Wow, that truly sounds amazing, i really wish there were more games like this.
Well it's being made by about twenty students and twenty teenagers using university equipment, and has so far had a four year production cycle. I've only been about for it's playable stages and it's still pretty damn buggy at times.
yea but it still sounds fun, so, can I has game? sorry.
'Fraid not. But I really love the avatar.
ho well, maybe when the beta test rears it's head you'll know where to ask for testers*flashes hundred dolor bill*.

L4D Death Toll Finale

Me and my team were hold up in the balcony on the second floor of the boathouse when we all suddenly got knocked down by all the infected that were rushing us we got pushed back to the lake but we gathered ourselves and made a push to the house where we held out in the kitchen when the boat came the guy playing Louis (I was playing as Zoey) got pulled of the dock by a smoker he was screaming for help but the guys playing Bill and Francis kept to the boat not me I jumped down and saved him he was low on health so I covered him until he was on the boat then as I was making my way to the boat I wasn't paying attention and walked of the dock by accident I asked for help but got none and was the only one not to make it

It wasn't a smoker, hunter,or tank just bad luck.....Fucking bad luck

Then again thats what you get for trying to be a good and help full team mate

*sigh*

Mine was in Dawn of War with my freind.
We were playing as eldar againsts 2 ememys on the hardest difficulty.
They charged my base destroying it completly so i teleported one of my bonesingers into my freinds base and started to try and build something there while sending other bonesingers around to various important parts of the map.
I buit the warp gate thingys around there and shrouded them and built basic buildings next to them and put all my soilders in there. His base got destoryed. So he started the same tactic and everytime we saw an ememy army come past we wud pouce out and destroy them :)
We played like this for about 3 hours before we got bored and tried a proper assult and got completly owned :p

Was so much fun though

hmm, ok, spoilers ahead for those that haven't played much of Dragon Age yet

My party, comprising of my DW rogue, Alistair, Oghren and Wynne vs Flemeth, 2nd or 3rd try on Hard. Oghren, seeing how I had no tanking equipment for him, dies first, probably less than a minute after the start of the battle. I revive him with Wynne, hoping that the dps rogue PC will do the job, since of course, I had equipped her with all the 100+ sovereign items I've purchased. Well, it didn't quite do the job - the Rogue's high Dex and Cun didn't save her for long enough. Alistair fought bravely, but didn't quite cut it either, so it was only Wynne left. As I reached for the Esc key, I noticed Revival has nearly cooled down! Now, with a cool down time of 2 minutes, most battles are either over successfully, if a character died late, or are lost anyway, if they die early. This time however, was the first and only time when I managed to use Revival twice in the same battle. Wynne held out on her own for some 10-15 seconds, then when the Rogue was revived she took the hostility soon enough and the battle was over successfully :)

I know it can probably be a much easier fight but at least it made for an epic last stand.
