All of these Total War ones warm my heart. That truly is a brilliant series of games.
My contributions:
Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms Expansion: I was playing the Crusades campaign, and I held Jerusalm. I only needed a few more turns of holding it to win; unfortunatley, my enemies (Byzantium & Turkey) had sent fleets of full-strength armies at it. My main bulk of my army was spent up defeating the Egyptians, and on top of that two full armies of Mongol forces were closing down on it. With only a half-strength army, I managed to fend off the armies until victory.
Warcraft 3's final mission, on the hardest difficulty. 'Nuff said?
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident: I can't remember fully which mission (hardest difficulty) it was, but I recall all of my fleet except the Angelwing had been destroyed. I managed to defeat the enemy fleet of about 6 ships with my lone one.
