Maybe it will be a completely new franchise called Cogs of Battle? Or maybe there will be Chocobo riding sections in GoW3?

I'm going to play it safe and say it's going to involve killing shit.

Since almost every game has that. I miss the days of Tetris and Paperboy...

I'm thinking more along the lines of "Gears of Unreal Pinball".

Hell yeah, that IS exciting!

The last one just came out a couple years ago and it's frakking amazing.
The one before that is frakking amazinger.
UT 1999 is teh frakking amazingest!

Seriously though. We need Unreal 3 about now.
I'm fairly certain I have Unreal 3 (PC)... it's not very good, it's like they took U2K4 and took all the awesome shiny things, fun "tournament" part of it and invasion mode out and stuck in brown scenery with brown characters in a brown story which doesn't even conclude. Seriously, not worth it.

If it's Gears 3, then yay
If it's not I probably won't have any interest in it as of that point.

Could it be *gasp* a new Gears of War game? No, that cannot be! It's not like gears of war 2 was released 2 years after the previus installment, and this could be following it's fotstepps...or could it?!

Maybe they're expanding, that'd be sweet, then I could get a job there in a couple of years. Being in the East Coast has it's disadvantages in the games industry : P

is epic small?, i thought like 70% of all games used their engine, any who im hoping for another unreal tournament despite them saying they wanted to put unreal tournament on the back burner.
Not hardly. There are thousands of game engines out there; Epic's Unreal Engines have only really caught on here the past few iterations with UE2.5 and UE3. Far more games are built from id's IdTech engines than anything else, really. All the Call of Duty on PC are built using proprietary modifications to IdTech 3, the Quake 3 Engine, in fact.

Honestly, Unreal's always been billed as the very pretty engine though. Quake and Unreal basically account for every FPS out there though. I mean, Fallout 3/Oblivion is on the netimerse 5 engine or something, Source is a very mutated form of Quake 2, X-Ray and CryEngine are independant... but, if it's an FPS it's going to be on one or the other. Swaki it's not 70%, but it IS a lot of games.

How about a total conversion patch that allows you to play UT2K4 within UT3? I have both, but geez, I miss my Futurama mods!

Any bets? I'm thinking of something that starts with "G."

And it ends with "ears of War 3."
And i think it's too damn obvious... but then again, there's such thing as The Untwist.

I'm pretty sure I know what it is... and I am so happy. Hopefully it means Gears of War 3 this winter.
