What if this is just another one of her hallucinations? Perhaps this is her subconscious's way of trying to fix herself. Any other time the game characters have been around telling her what to do but with this guy they have subsided. Also Dude looks like he may be an updated version of Clive who died in the fourth comic symbolizing how the games she once just played have entered her mind, just like Rapala Pro Fishing Move Edition entered Clive's brain.
Maybe... or maybe I just saw that one season finale to House.

Possibility 1: It's a Kratos idea.
Result: She's crazy but maybe can be taught to ignore the people in her head.

Possibility 2: It's an Erin idea.
Result: She's just plain crazy.
Possibility 3:She's freaking drunk and can't measure her actions well.
Result: ... She's drunk. :D

OT: Okay a LOT of ppl already talked aboot the option if the guy is just in her mind and it WOULD be a fun twist, but despite the lot of ppl hating this arc I just LOVE these things.
They're not all about one time game jokes, it IS getting a bit long, but I'm not rushing for a new arc when I already have a consistent one and SURE I actually have to THINK about the fact if Erin lost it or if she's just desperate or even if she's a good person or not, but isn't that a good thing when a character needs more then a single line for a description? :)

Oh boy, another game of "guess the next line"! Let's see...

*Thud!* (Erin takes one step and falls flat on her face and/or butt... yes, "and" is possible.)

"It's dangerous to go alone. (dramatic pause) Take this!" (dude hands her his drink)

"That was amazingly lucid thinking. Even more amazing I understood every word."
or "I didn't understand a word of that, but it looks like you're about to hurt yourself, so..." (holds her back and calls a cab)

"Hey! Listen..."

"Mind if I play your DS while you're up?"

"Round one. Fight!"

*fwoosh*, "Menu: Fight, Stagger, Drink, Run" or... pretty much anything in here [http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6306200/the-jersey-shore-rpg].

Just gonna give a prediction: The guy's gonna be a figment of her imagination. Possibly a game character, and that's why she was rubbing her own leg. Because he is part of her.
That was the logic I was going for myself. It fits with the character and all. Slightly mental, getting hammered, nice guy in skeezy bar.

I hope this is not the case though. Could get interesting if they add another person into the mix. Although I have to agree with Elcia (Oh god, somebody shoot me) in that this joke is getting a bit drawn out and tired. Plus if I wanted relationship drama I would keep reading Questionable Content. Which I do. But this feels like it is going the same way.

Jokes being drowned out in favour of relationship/mentalness drama.

My bet would be Link's best attempt at a disguise, if it had to be any of the characters in her brain. Think about it. His name is four letters long, he's a blue-eyed blond, he has earings, and he wears green over gray undershirts. And Link honestly is the only helpful one of all the characters in her brain.

Or he could be a nice guy. That too! Not discounting it... *shifty eyes*

A fight? Didn't we just throw an Xbox around in the same night?

Oh right, that's what you want to forget.

*passes Erin another round*

I am very pleasantly surprised at how well this is coming together. I dont do to many "game comics" but i have to say that i usually dont see much value in continuity in them. This is the exception to the rule. I seriously cant wait til the next one!

SPOILERS DUDE! Seriously...

What does this mean if the nice guy is so much like Link? What does this say about Grey, Cory, Erin, or "Mr. Nice Guy"?

Do you get that "mad" over other logical choices or are you just plain irrational?

Considering that guy is the writer too, it could have some legitimate point. Just sayin.

Okay. A lot of people have said that she will start a fight, but haven't been specific as to whom. My money is on Mol or Elliot geting the 'Ol one two. She is probably trying to "even" with them, but really, any person keeping score knows that this is a stupid idea. Erin, as of now, has:
*Broke into someone's house
*Started a fight
*Fucking LOBBED an Xbox at the other fightee
*Gotten forcefully removed from said house
This, for those who need a metaphor, is like punching a child in front of its family, leaving, and then coming back later to finish the job. I hope they know a good surgeon, because by the end of this, someone is gonna look like the love child of Marneus Calgar, and Adam Jensen!

Either that...or she falls over. She is drunk, you know!

..........Spoilers for what?

Either you keep up with the strip on a weekly basis therefore you know everything that's happened or you don't, therefore you don't know what's happened to be spoiled for you.

That right there.

He spoiled the entire plot line, by pointing out that this is a halucination, and Link is the guy she is talking to.

That hasn't been revealed yet, if it will be at all. You shouldn't take what he said as gospel truth. It's not a spoiler, it's speculation.

Sorry what's a white night complex?
Simply put, thinking that being a 'nice guy' means treating every woman you come across like they're some kind of damsel in distress, who can't look after themselves and needs you as both physical and emotional support. Something which is now considered just as misogynistic and arrogant as the 'caveman' approach to women, only with a dose of patronizing thrown in as well.
What this guy said.

Ergo, "white knight in shining armor".

Unfortunately, people like to throw it around a lot at anyone who defends/is nice to a woman.
