As in the former, not the latter. I actually haven't seen it, but I figured out the ending after a few whiffs from the trailer and some other little things here and there. The whole thing just carried more of a "Dark corporate satire" vibe than a "Resistance against control" vibe, and after making sure my assumptions were indeed correct, I decided that Repo Men wasn't really worth me seeing-- maybe in the future when I forget what I know (and what fantastic dark corporate satire they referenced with the ending) and I can watch it for free, but not right now, in any case, and maybe not ever.RestamSalucard said:I'm confused. Do you mean give it a pass as in, "I'm skipping this one" or as in, "It doesn't fail"? If the former, how can you skip a film that you apparently have already seen (what with the seeing the ending coming and all). I'll assume you already know the reason for my confusion with the latter, (what with the seeing the ending coming and all).
And was terrible abomination of a shit stain.Poofs said:am i the only one who remembers Repo: The Genetic Opera?
you know the movie that originally came up with this entire premise
except it was a musical
and starred the chick from spy-kids
Well for the most part I agree but remember he did stay behind to fight off the Mercs so that Christopher and his son could escape, he could have gone with them but he chose to remain behind, it was sort of self sacrifice.Samoftherocks said:I have to disagree with the notion that the protagonist in District 9 joined the other side (i.e. the Prawns).
He was in it for himself the entire time he had known what was happening to him. At no point did he ever give a damn about the Prawns outside of what they could do for him.
I agree with you, but...unfortunately any more explanation here would be a serious spoiler. All I will say is that the best intentions are often born from selfish desires. I will say no more...Vrex360 said:Well for the most part I agree but remember he did stay behind to fight off the Mercs so that Christopher and his son could escape, he could have gone with them but he chose to remain behind, it was sort of self sacrifice.Samoftherocks said:I have to disagree with the notion that the protagonist in District 9 joined the other side (i.e. the Prawns).

I thought he kind of redeemed himself at the end by performing a great personal sacrifice to save another.
